Belated happy anniversary wishes to foxbins and knit! Two great ladies to celebrate! Congrats!

Happy birthday, dear Sophi! How lovely to see you!

A hex upon the fool who dares to troll our sweet HouseOfPhlegethon. Not cool.

Made a start on the dining room. Unfortunately, we're a looong way from pics, but we'll get there! Quite a project, much taping and re-taping as there's tons of trim in there. Going to do just a little each day, as long as it's done by Christmas, lol. Wearing No.5 EdT layered with paint today.

The nights are getting colder here, so l've reached for the cosy comfort of L'Ombre Fauve this evening.

    Happy birthday, lovely Sophi.

Here's to your good health, too, foxbins.

Jeepers, the days take care of themselves. But busy-ness is better than boredom, and it's all good stuff.

I checked whether it's "Bois des Iles weather" yet by sniffing the bottle nozzle. Nope. Not quite that autumnal. I'm wearing Bois de Violette.

I’m at the paint store right now waiting for my color to be mixed. I ended up going with Dunn Edwards “Chaparral”, a golden beige to go with the moss green carpets in the stairwell. I picked up the oak handrails from the refinisher earlier today. They’re just like new except that it’s hard to duplicate their quality nowadays.

I just looked at Chapparal, TL; it's going to look gorgeous! Such a warm and inviting beige. And the handrails must look magnificent. You're correct, they sure don't make em like they used to. You have a treasure there!

Oh, boy, something like that! The horizontal trim is a bit high for chair railing but you have the idea. In addition, there are diagonals in each upper corner. Hence, the reason I'm keeping it mostly white! Still more than enough taping without getting all creative, lol! None of this trim is original to the house; the people before us brought in a bit of Bavarian influence. Not sure if that will stay long term but for now, paint is the most I want to deal with in that room. Good enough is good enough! Sounds fun right, betcha wanna come help?

AG Rose Splendide for bedtime. Good night, all!
