Glad to hear that you like it, but personally don't care for this one at all.

If you like The Dreamer, you can try its more mature, autumnal sequel, Versace Man (2003), which is a bit smoother and deeper, like The Dreamer grew up and switched from cigarettes to cigars.

Or you can try Lalique Hommage a L'Homme, which is kinda like if The Dreamer had a sibling that got an art degree and moved to Paris.

Versace The Dreamer (1996) is lovely iris and musky tobacco scent, very fresh and plush. If you like this, there are a few directions you cloud take.

L'Occitane Eau des Baux (2006) for a firey pepper and tobacco good for colder weather.
Aramis Havana (1994) for a mossier and boozier "Cuba Libre on the rocks with a Cohiba" vibe.
Dior Homme (2005) keeps the clean iris but puts it in a warm cocoa and leather armchair scenario without the musk or tobacco.
Jacomo de Jacomo (1980) puts the tobacco in a really smoky, mossy, super masculine context, like a biker bar or dark jazz club.

I already had the "Occitane" one and this is one of my favorite fragrance ever...
But I research something more masculine, and I think "the dreamer" can help me right ?

It's a decent scent for those who enjoy tobacco, very affordable.

I see The Dreamer as a 'stepping stone' fragrance to better things but I liked it ok when I was much younger

I ended up selling my bottle just because I didn't wear it very often, but I think it actually is one of the "better things." It's just easy to take for granted because it's everywhere.

I encourage you (and others) to go back and revisit it, ideally on paper, where you can really pick out the definition between notes.

Enjoy! I wore this on the early 2000s in Fall and Winter snd found the sweet tobacco nice while wearing a sweater! I haven’t worn in since but I’m sure it’s still enjoyable

I'm with you on the first three but I have always found Jacomo de Jacomo very harsh and a bit hard to wear because of that. Many seem to enjoy it though. The first three is excellent though

Current Jacomo can be harsh, especially during the opening.

    Vintage Jacomo is pretty smooth.

It is current and it is the opening that is the worst as I can recall. Maybe that explains it then. Perhaps a bit old school for me anyway. Not bad smelling, but a bit harsh and tough to wear for me.

Great value, never smells cheap, in fact quite the opposite. Iris & Tabacco done in a real smart way. Top performance too. Enjoy

A good 20 years ago I had it. The initial blast was really terrible, but in an hour or so it turned into a great. loveable scent. I never understood how a scent can change so dramatically..
