Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

    Happy Friday, world!

Autumn is here... and so is my dear Tabac Blond Extrait.

I am exploring some Chartreuse verte cocktails... The Last Word and Bijou. It‘s a bit of an acquired taste and I am not yet sure if these ones are to stay in my repertoire...

Cheers to everybody and have a great start to your weekend all!

    Hello everyone!

    Sophi, happy belated birthday!

    Ineespenes, get well soon!

Tomorrow I'm going to meet my little cousin (well, she's 21 already, so not so little anymore! But she was a baby when we all were kids and pre-teens, so she'll always stay the little cousin ), my aunt and my parents. We'll all go from our own homes to my cousin's city to see her new appartament and help her build new furniture and hang out.

Oh, and I'm wearing Les Amoureux de Peynet, finally a proper citrus. And I finally got enough sleep - who would have thought that going to bed early might be good for you.

Waving to ClockworkAlice - I caught up on my sleep last night too and
    certainly feel perkier than yesterday!

I am off to the hairdressers to get a cut and colour in preparation for
next weeks holiday in the South of France (Cagnes sur Mer.)

I don't own a DSH perfume (so no synching) but I have applied some Lancome
    'O' d'Azur instead.

    Morning all!

l've been getting a few early nights recently too, & it certainly feels good to get more sleep. The cooler nights help as well.

lt's been raining here & it feels quite chilly today. l have nothing for the synch, so l'm still working on finishing my bottle of Sheer Stella.

PL... Nah, I'll pass on painting. I've haven't done any interior painting in decades.

cook.bot... Guess what? After I filed the unpaid item notice on Ebay, the negative feedback that "person" left, went away, disappeared, poof, it's gone! Guess they have a self-cleaning program, maybe?

I'm in Florida for a few days and didn't bring any of my DSH samples, so no synching. I'm in Fresh Sake, still lingering from yesterday. After I shower I'll wear Néonatura Soufflé by Yves Rocher.

There's one good thing about hurricanes: as they pass by, they suck all the moisture out of the air, and afterwards you're left with a beautiful, crystal-clear day with no humidity. So today I get to wear a green chypre/leather that I thought would have to wait for the cooler days at the end of September:

    Azurée by Estée Lauder

Fortunately I have backups of the lugnut bottle, so I'll never have to learn what's been done to it in modern reformulations.

That's good, of course, but you'd think they would have an automated system in place to prevent it having been filed in the first place.

Aw, man, I was sure you'd jump on that "offer". But absolutely delighted to read about the turn of ebay events!! Fantastic news!

Was watching the Carolinas on tv last night and thinking of our Cook.bot. Glad to see you're safe!

Like some of you, I had no options for Sync Friday but it did lead me to my SotD anyway. I was thinking of other American independents and realized I was in the mood for Ava Luxe Vanille Jolie. Happy Friday, all!

I have to sit out this Sync, I currently don't own any DSH scents. Years ago, as a gift from a lovely and generous BN buddy, I owned a bottle of Sienna by DSH - a very cuddly cinnamon/basmati rice scent. I miss that one.

It's been ages since I wore this, I found a sample (from BN buddies in Chicago) so I rekindling my love for it. What a strange, unusual and unique scent:

    Bois Farine by L'Artisan Parfumeur

I know Shycat enjoys this one also. I feel like it has a certain kinship to Timbuktu, Dzonghka and also the Hermessence Paprika Brasil.

It's the same colour as I always have, ClockworkAlice - a medium ash blonde.
I would have totally white hair if I didn't colour it! It runs in the family and
my 33 year old son is going the same way poor lad.
I've just had the ends trimmed as I like it around shoulder length.

The photo is not of me but that's the colour.

I'm synching! So often I forget or don't want to wear what the synch prescribes for the day. But today I'm in Oeillets Rouges, a wonderful carnation if you like a lot of clove. Debating whether to go hiking this afternoon or not. Thundershowers might get the mountains, and I hate hiking in the mud.
