Ah. Good to know, thanks. Had a couple of things I was looking to buy from him anyhow (backup bottle of my current-fave frag Lonesome Rider and possibly ACDD) so it'd be nice to be able to just throw a sample of this on a bigger order.

Interested. Like others have mentioned, I kind of hope this one isn't drowned in the "Tauer scent chemical," which in my mind is too "heavy" for a fragrance like this

Most fragrances aren't great. This one probably won't be either. His Au Coeur du Desert is excellent, nearly perfect for its type, but I wish he could have left a few drops of amber in the souk.

    I'll get a decant/fragrance split from strifeknot.

For sure and just received my bottle from Etiket.
Sampling... Very nice with top and heart much as expected from notes listed. Bitter herbs with a gentle cool air effect that you feel as much as smell. A bitterness followed by spices emerging along with the green notes. Not enough time for further development but it starts off with lots of potential. This one doesn't fill the room and isn't as polarizing as some of his scents. Leans to the tame mild mannered end of the spectrum.

Sadly yes. This is one my spouse hardly notices. Not my norm as it is a skin scent (but a nice one at that). Very tame for a Tauer but it does fit the name and theme. Longevity - all but gone in under eight hours. Had I sampled I may not have bought a full bottle. Perhaps a little aging will help.

Thanks for the update. Does it resemble any other fragrance?

Some Tauer scents are powerfully strong (Attar AT, L'Oudh, etc). A subtle Tauer scent can sometimes be a good thing.

I love LDDM because of the scent, but also the projection/performance. I think it's super important

L'Eau hardly lasts long at all, but what a gorgeous scent it is!

I certainly won’t expect any scent reminiscent of the Swiss Alps to hit one in the face like a tonne of bricks nor lasts for very long. It’s just the nature of such scents. You can’t compare them to orientals based on heavier resins.

Got in a sample of L'Air des Alpes Suisses and wearing it today, and I have to say I'm underwhelmed. I've been wearing it all day, and here are my thoughts so far:

Out of the vial there is first a flash of sharp greens that fade quickly into herbal lavender with a touch of lemon and powdery amber (in Tauer fashion), and it seems to be dying out now. Resembles a fougere, and if I've smelled anything similar it'd be DS&D's Amber Teutonic, though AT has more fir and less sweetness. The closest Tauer to it would probably be l'Eau.

The day after I ordered the sample I broke down and ordered a bottle. My bottle will be here in a few days and I'm curious to see the difference between a dabber vial and spray nozzle, but will likely be a catch and release. I got a free 5ml mini with the order and I think I'd be content with that.

Thanks for this. Hate those dabber samples, you can never get a real feel for the fragrance with them.

Yep. I always decant them into atomizers (cheap ones) and spray them on.

I got to try a full spray from a tester today. It was quite nice actually, fresh and outdoorsy, very natural smelling. At one point it veered close to the edge of being too masculine for me, then swung back into very wearable territory. I will be getting a bottle.

Got a sample from Luckyscent with a recent purchase. This smells like a weaker version of Prada Luna Rossa Sport.
