Default Baccarat Rouge 540 Edp or Elysium Pour Homme Parfum Cologne ?

I have $300 Neiman Marcus gift card, which one would you choose ?
I have tried BR540 and I like it a lot, the Roja would be a blind buy...

Get Roja creation-e or Danger. Both these are better than the two you listed.

    Not a fan of BR540.

Elysium is beautiful, but if you wear it out it will get lost in the crowd.

Creation E/ Enigma would be a top option!

I like BR540 but struggle to find places to wear it. I think you would get a LOT more use out of the Elysium

Two Very very different fragrances of course, I find Elysium excellent as a daily wear fragrance for work and BR540 one of my favorite leisure-time/night out fragrances.

So I think your choice should come down to which variety you’re more in need of, daily wear or evening/leisure wear. Both are great, imo.

I find BR540 too feminine for me

i've really come round to Elysium but the Parfum Colonge has incredibly poor performance after the initial burst of top notes fizzle out.

Of the two listed, Elysium by a country mile.

I would sample other Roja's though. Roja is my favorite house and Elysium far from my favorite. Reckless is amazing for many different occasions and very versatile imo, Creation E is also a very solid option.

If it were *me* it would be an easy choice - Elysium Parfum Cologne, as I can't stand Baccarat Rouge 540. That said, the Elysium Parfum pour Homme version is far superior than the Cologne to my nose, and you said you know you love the Baccarat Rouge 540, so maybe you should go that route?

nailed it. if OP can pony up some extra cash Elysium Parfum would be by far the best option.

this is a bit of an oranges and lemons thing as the two scents are opposite sides of a spectrum. sugar vs citrus, the only thing they share in common is being light, though plenty present (especially 540) in the air.

I have not smelled Elysium, but BR540 has this weird, sweet scent that I just don't care for. Another issue I had with BR540 was that it took six or seven wearings before I could smell it. I also tried it on my GF and we both agreed it's not something we enjoy.

Agree. Creation E is absolutely beautiful.

Not a fan of BR540. Haven't tried Elysium yet.

Never tried the Elysium, but never really connected with BR540.

It wore like cotton candy on my skin and was far too sweet. I’m also not sure when I’d wear it.... It’s too rich to wear casually yet too casual to be worn formally.
I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.

If you know you like the calibre of scent that is BR540, I would go with that.
I think you are wasting your money for the Roja, given how similar this is to Bleu de Chanel.

I love both, but my recent wearing of BR540 bored me a bit. So, at this moment, I would go for Elysium.

I do echo Enigma as a better choice, but the two you have above are more versatile.
