Default Problem with Versace "The Dreamer"

    Hey,
I bought few days ago this fragrance on Notino.
I view so many videos that says that this fragrance is a very long lasting one !

When i spray it on my skin, the smell is very strong for like 30min/1h and then the fragrance become discreet, like too much discreet...

Is this normal ? Is it notino ? Is it my skin ?
Even my YSL is better what the hell

    Help me !

It might be subjective due to nose fatigue. Try to spray piece of paper and put it aside far from your nose, revisit it every 1h and check the performance.

I think it can be the nose fatigue but when I ask my friends they tell me that is discreet and we have to be very very close to me for smelling it

    Agree - probably nose fatigue.

There is no direct link from my experience between amount of sprays and how long you can smell it well. Indeed if it is weak perfume, then you need to spray it more to be able to smell it at least. In case if you can smell it well from the beginning (like dreamer), more sprays just will fatigue nose faster.

It is a reformulated current version by looking at the box. This could be why you get poor longevity

The current version in that box has been out for years, and I've not had any longevity issues with it. It could be that the juice itself has changed and not the box, of course, but my I bought my latest bottle around six months ago and it's fine.

I almost always fall into this "trap" of new frag "huh cant smell it".
    1. 100% your nose brain chemistry magic takes some time to get used to it.
    2. Nose fatigue trying to smell it more
    3. I have / had the same new bottle fresh from retail, it's real strong and lasting

Probably just takes some time, some time away and a few bearings to get it. Case point, I had a new bottle of "X" last year or more ago, i couldn't smell much of it at all and immediately sold on. A few months ago, i have the exact same frag from new, and boy its like it's a whole new fragrance!! I can smell it all from top to bottom and it lasts a good day. Your brain nose chemistry will get wider as you go along and smell more and more different things.

Three on your neck in total is most likely causing nose fatigue - try spraying it on clothes and forearms only and see how that works for you.

Avoid the front of your neck and chest, confine sprays to back of neck. Spray on arms instead or dab on wrists. You'll catch it in the air more often if it's further away from you.

Couldn't have said this better myself.

One tip I read somewhere that I find really works is to spray your knees. Yes, your knees boys. They might not be close to your nose to cause fatigue but for this in an office job or who spend the day sat down, where the knees are bent and much closer to the nose, this can be a good way of wearing scents that are likely to cause fatigue. Try it - it really does work!

Nose blind has always been issue for me I think that's why I always reapply lol, there's times u know before bed from work out the shower , I'm sure I'm not the only one , I spray my scent of the night and lay in bed , well sure enough an hour into a movie or more I ask my wife and can u smell this cologne on me, she responds , the whole house smells like u lol..like I said I was wearing dreamer the other day and hours later the cashier smelled it on me I was buying cologne , and she ask what am I wearing , but everytime I buy a new cologne I'm always testing it and wondering if the next person smells it on me , recently new colognes to test it I only spray on my wrist and the back of my hands , if I can smell it from there I know it's good enough of projection

Probably related to 'brain perception' of the scent strength; I had that with many scents of which I thought had bad longevity/performance on me.
Just indeed leave it for at least 2 weeks and try it again and do this a few times so your brain get used to some (new) notes/accords and suddenly you will experience the real strength of the fragrance, at least that is how it works with me sometimes on certain fragrances.
My Top '11' of main current rotation in no particular order:

    - Paco Rabanne: Pour Homme (vtg)
    - Antaeus (vtg)
    - Azzaro: Pour Homme (vtg)
    - TF: Ombré Leather
    - Cartier: Santos edt (vtg)
    - Guerlain: Héritage (vtg)
    - Thierry Mugler: A*men
    - SA: Al Basel
    - D&G: Pour Homme (vtg)
    - Mancera: Red Tobacco
    - Mancera: Aoud Vanille

Must try! I started doing wrists recently and also back of hand the other night with Armani Eau ( previously had written of as a ghost of a fragrance ) and yes it's got minerals!

I wore a '16 batch recently on a Saturday night.
Two sprays on wrists and 2-3 on neck and could get whiffs of it throughout the night it's quite good for the price and has better performance than Versace man
