Thread: Dior Sauvage

    Default Dior Sauvage

Am i the one here to smell this fragrance at least one time per day ?
The scent is incredible but its so overused that's crazy, it's like the mainstream fragrance...
Pretty boring to smell it on everyone in my city.
What do you think about ? You smell it oftenly ?

Yes, a lot of people have been saying this, the reason for this being Dior has Marketed and advertised it so heavily that its almost everyone’s go to fragrance for the evening, night and Party !! And frankly it does not smell bad, has a very crowd pleasing Vibe without being too aggressive, offensive in any particular notes, very wearable. Yes Almost everyone likes it and owns it !! Sadly Yes !!

    Never heard of it.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.

I wouldn't be able to pick it out specifically. There are a bunch of similar fragrances, I think - too similar for me to distinguish in passing. At most, I think to myself, "He's wearing something sort of like Sauvage."

I get really happy when I smell something nice, especially old-school, on someone.

I don't smell it on others as often as others seem to.

When I DO pick up on a fragrance while out and about here, Sauvage is almost always the one these days. Occasionally I still get Santal 33 or miscellaneous others. But this wouldn’t keep me from wearing it when I want to (and it doesn’t). It’s not like everyone is wearing fragrance, at least where I live, so wearing anything means you stand out a bit in the first place. I don’t think most non-frangrance-hobbyists are carefully identifying every scent they come across anyway.

Honestly, I think it smells disgusting. I have a spray sample and I'll wear one spray from it every now and then to see how I feel about it, and every single time I end up washing it off after about ten minutes because I'm so grossed out by it.

It’s a good anytime anywhere fragrance reason it’s used a lot, unfortunately there are only so many of these in the designer market that are widely available. Also makes a great attention grabber and compliment getter another reason it’s widely used, I’ve only smelled it a few times by me I smell Versace Pour Homme far more than anything else.

If you think Dior Sauvage smells disguisting to you that has like exhausted all fragrances which can be called wearable and pleasant. I don't know what else do you wear then??

I wear the parfum so I can feel better than the common folk who only have edt or edp. Same goes for bleu.

Sauvage is definitely the bleu killer everyone jumped off bleu and others and went to sauvage. People love it. Such a pleasant smell. Defines our generation along with adventus (latter for the rich people)

I wear fragrances that I don't think smell like cheap, industrial cleaning supplies.

For the most part. I do sometimes enjoy Joop!, but part of that may be due to nostalgia.

Yep, I seem to notice Sauvage more often than ever nowadays when out and about too. Not quite once per day - weeks can elapse without me smelling it at all - but sometimes I smell it on a few different people in the same day. (Unless it's the same bloke who keeps walking past!)

I've heard it for at least a year or more that Sauvage is everywhere and people are constantly smelling it, but I've never smelled it on another person. Maybe it's more regionally popular or something.

I used to work for a retailer. Prior to my departure, Sauvage was easily the most common men’s fragrance that I could smell throughout the store.

On top of that, toward the end, we had started selling a new line of body wash and bar soap. Three fragrances, one a Sauvage clone. Guess which sold most.

I have yet to smell it in the wild, though that will be a glorious day. AdG is my most commonly smelled by a long shot. like 10 to 1. Last non AdG was Y EDP on a dude at Target I believe.
It’s tragic to think that heroic man’s great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.
