Default Scents of yore: perfumes of our childhoods or parents (or grandparents)

As a very young child, I loved sniffing the scents of my parents and older siblings: Lentheric Onyx of my father, Chanel No. 5 (and No. 19) of my mother, Blue Grass and Obsession of my sister.

Here is where you can buy some of these old scents. I noticed that some of the formulations have changed, sadly, like most everything else. A relative asked where to buy Rive Gauche for women, bought some and then said the scent is now different.

"That lover which is like fragrance
Whose voice is as beautiful as Urdu.

She who hides in the flowers
you can only find her from her fragrance."

"Chaiyya Chaiyya," from the film, "Dil Se."
