Thin script Versace L'Homme is vintage (with L'Homme to the right).

    Reply to Sisyphus :

I own both versions , vintage and current. I have no idea if my vintage bottle is a "deep" or a "light" one (lot nbr indicates Feb. 2016 which is obviously wrong) but, as an "average" nose, I can say that both are excellent scents with outstanding drydowns. I wear both with same pleasure.
I believe Versace L'Homme is a vey under rated scent !

Thanks for your input Avecesar, appreciated. Maybe I just need to go find me a sample of the current stuff so I can smell for myself.

I agree with you that it's a under rated scent. I think I wore it around four times to work now, and sort of find it just perfect for that purpose. It's a very elegant but easy going scent that is not going to offend coworkers. It is different enough though from other designers to stand apart from the crowd. And especially that creamy drydown is just fantastic.

My scent of the day is Balenciaga Ho Hang Club. This is a fragrance where not every bottle I have is quite the same. Maybe it's just this one bottle that's a little different, a slightly different balance. I really like it.

I still have to try any Balenciaga to be honest. Pour homme, Ho Hang and Ho Hang Club are all on my "try" list though.

Agreed. Definitely vintage only with this one though - the current extrait is an insult to the name.

Not quite as deep a vintage as I'd intended to get, but so it goes. This is Tsar c. 2002. Green, spicy, and masculine, for sure. I still await the dry down to see how the IFRA might have impacted the original from 1989. That, and an earlier example for the sake of comparison.

2001-2010 were the "treemoss/oakmoss hybrid" years. So I expect sharper, less rich and buttery, but more pronounced mossiness, with less diffusion.

Good to know, thanks. I have my eyes on some pre-1995 bottles, though it's not my highest priority. I'm enjoying Tsar, but it's not curling my toes.
