Today was burley and 'tarzanic' in the fragrance department, brought on by miserably cold weather, therefore opting for a generous wholesome splash of Boss ('85) as my SOTD just to warm things up a bit, and it was glorious!

Estée Lauder Knowing (1988) is its twin sister, and worth checking out. Imagine Boss with more rose and civet but a bit less honey.

It is indeed! Then I took delivery on a slightly leaky bottle of Bourjois Or Masculin, which is also crazy good, but they went to war. Should be my worst problem ever.

Dark juice is better but any version is good. It's a femme but wears masculine.

This has been a very pleasant surprise. I have acquired a vintage tester and it is gorgeous. I can't say the same for the modern version.

    Polo Spray Cologne (Warner)

Amazing! Yeah...this is definitely a tad richer than the Cosmair formulation. The dry down is fantastic.

I used to constantly poach my boyfriend's Boucheron in the early '90s. I had the femme version, but preferred the men's, and now I can't really remember why. Woodier? Less sweet?

That's a post that belongs to my new thread
I find Boucheron similar to vintage YSL pour Homme. Lemony , powdery.

I have a fairly current bottle that is incredibly good. Most prominent notes are a juicy lemon, sandalwood and rose. Lovely drydown also, with a mossy undercurrent. Haven't tried vintage.

Wearing Grain de passion. Not sure why not popular her.
Not in BN directory either. None of the three Grain sisters.
IIRC Grain de Sable was well liked by folks here in an older thread.

    R de Capucci.

The touch of sweetness is fantastic.

Good pics of Santos above; I have those without the casing (i.e. just the brown glass inserts) but should look for the casing to provide protection.

A few years ago I spent a huge amount of time hunting for Grain de Sable, because I had such a good memory of it from the '80s. I eventually gave up the search.

What is the Passion version like?

I like Folie the best then Passion.
Sable was the least fav of the three.
Which is good cause it is the hardest of the 3 to find.
They all had same base and style.
