    Where does one in the US buy the Avon oud? I assume we are talking about Premiere Luxe Oud PH... I've been curious about it for a while but the only seller I found was some Polish outfit on ebay and Amazon and that's a pass for me.

    Probably not what you're looking for but I picked up a bottle of Black Oud for next to nothing.
    Though I can't say it was really a bargain as I never wear it.

    Very curious about Black Man Orient. Black Aoud (for most) is a man among boys, a lion among kittens. Fiqat Lil Rijal is absolutely one that should not be missed, lest the oud gods snicker and call the unbelievers ‘fool’.

    I enjoy these:

    Polo Supreme Oud (warm and smooth)
    Boss Bottled Oud (a bit rough around the edges)
    Versace Oud Noir (transparent)

    Beauty is in the nose of the beholder.

    Thanks again for your recommendations!

    I forgot to mention that I hate medicinal oud. I much prefer skunky/barnyard/mouldy/rubbery/cheesy/chocolaty oud.

    Miller Harris (150$) and Byredo (220$) are expensive here. Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud too (220$). Jo Malone is 120$.

    Montale fit the budget. Montale Aoud Cuir D'Arabie sample is waiting to be delivered in the mail, among others.
    Tested a lot of Montales. I didn't like any.

    I don't like Rasasi Faqat Lil Rijal (2 samples) and Al Haramain Mystique Homme.

    Zara Exclusive Oud is discontinued.

    I really like YSL M7 Oud Absolu (7/10). But I like the others more.
    I will try the transparent glass when I have the chance.

    Your recommendations:

    Bvlgari Man Black Orient
    Bvlgari Eau Parfumee au The Noir
    Parfums Weil Suki Essence
    Lalique Hommage a L'Homme
    Banana Republic Oud Mosaic 17
    Elie Saab Oud
    Rasasi Dhan Al Oudh Al Nokhba
    Versace Oud Noir
    John Varvatos Oud
    Etienne Aigner Oud No.1
    Ralh Lauren Polo Supreme Oud
    Comme des Garcons Wonderoud
    Ferrari Essence Oud
    ST Dupont Oud & Rose
    Lancome Oud Bouquet
    Lattafa Ameer Al Oudh
    Bladessarini Ambre Oud
    Boss Bottled Oud

    I tested dozens and dozens of cheap arabic perfumes but I didn't like ANY except Lattafa Khalis Oudi (25$) which is awesome.
    Try it if you have the chance.

    I bought a sample. I tried it once and I didn't like it. I can't remember how it smell, I can't remember why I didn't like it, except it's too airy/ozonic for me.

    If you like this type of perfumes, you have to try Rasasi Mukhallat Oudh Al Mubakhar (with "Mukhallat", silver cup, not gold).
    I almost like it despite the medicinal oud, which is mild and well blended here. The same airy/ozonic feel. From time to time I get a camomille whiff, even if camomille isn't in the pyramid. But after 2-3 hours I got a headache from something musky-peppery that pierced my nostrils.
    Maybe you like it.
    Very good longevity, medium projection (good for office if you care about this aspect). 16$ (Notino).

    There are not much real fresh fragrances with the common oud-rose-saffron combo, so I guess one has to get used to this 'new smell'.
    For me it was like a revelation (yes I know it is from 2013) as I am not fond at all about the dark rose-oud combo fragrances.
    Will check the Rasasi you mentioned again (I am sure I already did).
    I own also the Rasasi Khaltat Al Khasa which is actually also quite fresh on the oud-rose-saffron combo because bergamot is added; love that stuff as well.

    Also very good are imo:

    - Shaghaf Oud: Has the same oud-vanille combo as Mancera Aoud Vanille but this one has a soft rose and praline chocolate added.
    - Shaghaf Oud Abyad: Smokey Interlude clone which smells extremely similar (so does Midnight Oud by Ard Al Zaafaran btw) and lasts all day as well.
    - Shaghaf Oud Aswad: (bought blind but still to be received)
    My Top '11' of main current rotation in no particular order:

    Mancera Aoud Cafe
    Comptoir Sud Pacifique Nomaoud
    Rania J. T. Habanero (too expensive but I found cheap samples)
    Rania J. T. Oud Assam (idem)

    Franck Olivier Oud Vanilla - they say it's like Oud Touch, but sweeter. I love Oud Touch.
    I would have blind bought Oud Vanilla immediately, but I can't find it here.

    I can't find any samples/decants:

    Trussardi Amber Oud
    Rasasi Dhanal Oudh Estethnay
    Rasasi Sotoor Waaw
    Rasasi Dhanal Oudh Nashwah
    Juicy Couture Dirty English
    Cerruti 1881 Signature

    Indeed it's an Amouage Interlude clone. I saw the pyramid, but I didn't make the connection.

    "Smokey Interlude"?! That's quite a performance. Interlude is already very smokey.

    Amouage never reaches the wish list. I always instantly bought the ones I liked. They're awesome (Epic, Dia, Gold, Memoir, Lyric Woman).
    I don't really like Interlude. It's too harsh for me. It was a relief. Too many expensive perfumes I have bought lately.

    Montale Aoud Cuir D'Arabie

    No barnyard, no fecal, no dead animal body, no sweet at all for me.

    - pungent skanky animalic leather, stinky cheese, ink, band aid, hot circuit board (or something like that );
    - cheese and ink are gone after 15 minutes ;
    - the butch leather take control and dominate for 2 hours, smells very close to real (harsh) leather;
    - tobacco appears after 2 hours, the perfume became smoother;
    - after 3 hours became slightly soapy, you can't believe it has changed so much.

    Skunkiest of them all. I like it. Maybe it's just the Stockholm syndrome. I don't know. I really didn't expect that. I bought the sample out of morbid curiosity.

    Very good longevity and projection, like all Montales.

    ..is another high-quality, cheap oud to consider. I haven't smelled it myself. Some reviewers said it was quite smoky (that's good), others compared it to an unsweet Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford (that's not so good). Around $30 for 40ml.

    This one sounds good. (It's also supposedly discontinued, so supply may be dwindling.) Many reviews on Fragrantica have folks scratching their head about the Tobacco Vanille comparisons, so it sounds like it's doing its own thing even if it shares some notes.

    I grabbed a bottle and will report back.

    Funny enough, I just pulled the trigger on this one a few days back. It had been on my eBay watch list for months.

    One I really enjoy is Dunhill Icon Absolute. The performance is lacking IMO but it can be picked up for a song.

    Own this one and it is a very dark and smokey incense-oud leather with some honey/amber added. Very potent but good stuff which should not be over applied. To me not a TV without the sweetness as this is way darker and does have some sweetness.

    For you - probably not. Smells great but rather generic and youthful, like something from Abercrombie or Nautica, and not a typical Arabian fragrance.

    Lattafa Rose Kashmiri

    Similar to Rasasi Faqat Lil Rijal, but smoother and rounder, with rose instead of geranium. Oud is medicinal-barnyard like in many Montales.
    Isn't nuclear like RFLR.
    30$/100ml

    Nice, but I own Tiziana Terenzi Gold Rose Oudh, which is the best in this category of montalesque oud/rose perfumes.

    Lattafa have a bunch of things that are supposedly quite good (Raghba is very good, but the only one I've tried). Another one, not already listed above, is Night Oud, a boozy/smoky/tobacco oud, sort of in the Tom Ford Tobacco Oud range, but at about 1/10th the cost.

    Lattafa Oud Mood Elixir

    Smokey-rubbery-leathery gourmand with cappuccino vibe after first hour. The cappuccino here is dense, hot and strong, not as in Rochas Man.
    Very good longevity and projection.
    25$/100ml

    Top notes: Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Saffron;
    Middle notes: Sandalwood, Agar / Oud wood, Leather notes;
    Base Notes: Vanilla, Amber.

    Is it not too sweet (vanilla, caramel, sugar, amber)? Does the oud and the incense balance the sweetness?
