I just can't get over the fact that for perfumes that run $500+ the whole presentation of the fragrance is stuff anyone can get off Aliexpress.

Interested! I love the smell of the ocean but Im not too fond of most oceanic perfumes. If Roja have managed to blend (real?) ambergris with complexity and depth this might be fantastic. I imagine it is a departure from his obvious routes and have possibilities to be quite unique. I hope so.

Have you smelled Qatar, H Black Tier, or Amber Aoud lately? He could sell them in a red plastic dixie cup for all i care.

He doesn't use real ambergris and based on the route he's taken the company's products the past 3-4 years, which has had numerous releases per year, with a marked decrease in quality of blending and ingredients, (and a 160% price increase in 2015), I doubt he's going to start now. It's just not that type of brand. I think that more effort probably went into the presentation, than the juice itself.

I watched an interview of his where he mentions that he does use real ambergris and he was saying not just any old trash ambergris either which he believed a lot of it to be seagull beaks. Maybe you could verify.

If it smells like EROLFA, it would be his best release to date.

Based on his track record, I am guessing it will be acquatic and cumin / castoreum.

I see no Aoud variant or Rose de Mai in the notes so at least he's trying something different.

Where did you find this? Its neither listed on Rojas site nor on Selfridges... Any idea on pricing and bottle size? I guess 100ml as its only EdP concentration?

A haute lux brand speaking about saving the environment. How hypocritical. If I was ever interested in Roja Dove (ha) no more.

I got bored on microsoft paint.

If you're familiar with Roja's offerings, you can discern from the box in the image that it's being shipped in the same size container as Roja London and A Midsummer's Dream which are 100ml bottles for 295GBP/360USD

And what's funny is that the presentation is ~$2.00 a bottle from stuff anyone and everyone can get on Aliexpress. Roja Dove is garbage.

LOL. Could the bottle be any more tacky? It looks like a Madri Gras prop. Still will sample it just to see what’s it about though. I love aquatics.

Based on these notes, it mirrors an old copy from Creed's mid-00's website for Erolfa almost 100%
I would be surprised if this isn't a heavy handed, greener/sweeter/denser EROLFA. Which I welcome.

I got a decant of this recently and i'm liking it more than I expected I would. I get salty dry woody floral musk and sandalwood. I also got decent longevity from it about 6-7 hours.

Got my bottle today. Definitely not Erolfa. This is more like Bond No. 9 Hamptons mixed with Bond No. 9 Fire Island with a dash of something else.

It's bright, but I get a hair spray vibe way in the background. Will definitely have to give this a few more wearings...

Been wearing this for a month now. Like it. Very pleasant, not in your face. Initially I got a fresh lime-type opening, which fairly quickly changed on me. I thought then it reminded me a tad of Elysium, but wearing them side by side on the arm, they were quite different. Then the Oceania became warmer, more rounded than the opening, but retaininga fresh/clean smell. When using the term warmer, that is smells which to me has thr character and the feel lof Dior Homme. The direction. No, these two aren’t comparable.

Sorry I am not good at discerning notes and describing notes. I can’t compare to Erolfa, but I do not find it similar to Creed’s MI.

Probably not ground-breaking stuff, but I like wearing it, it is well made and I get good longevity (better than Elysim). So a stayer with me.

Since there seems to be a need to peg this to a Creed of some sort, i'll throw in my two cents now that i've smelled it.

It's not Erolfa, it's not M.I. but Virgin Island Water. At least in the opening, very bright and pleasant but I don't care for Oceania's dry down at all.

Of course the funny thing is that i've always thought Alexandria Fragrance's Virgin Island Water clone (Hawaii Volcano) was a better performer than Virgin Island Water, so to be quite frank... I think the $45 Hawaii Volcano would be a better purchase than Oceania.

Please don't take this as me saying AF is better than Roja frags because that's far from true. However the cheaper ingredients AF uses, replicates citrus/bright notes very well. Whereas the darker notes are just dreadful. AF tried to do a clone of Roja Amber Aoud and it's nothing short of an abomination.

I recently got a chance to try this at Nieman Marcus and thought it was quite pleasant, however didn't conjure up thoughts of Erolfa.

After a week of wearing this pretty regularly; it's the ylang-ylang that reminds me of a different Creed. The opening is far less floral but it reminds me of Creed Millesime 1849 for a split second. But do understand that Oceania is its own scent. As stated before; it's not Erolfa.

I'm starting to like this one more. My original take was somewhat negative.
