Syncing in Le Parfum de Therese by Frederic Malle
Edmond and Therese Roudnitska
Morning all!
We returned from Greece late last night, & l haven't yet had a chance to catch up on all the threads, but l hope all of you are safe & well.
We had a very relaxing week in a lovely hotel, right on a beautiful sandy beach. The weather was perfect for sunbathing, & cool enough at night to sleep comfortably. The only problem was a very long delay to our return flight, caused by a quite spectacular thunderstorm. We then had to divert to Nice to pick up a new crew, because the original crew had exceeded their alloted number of flying hours, meaning that we finally arrived home about five hours later than expected, tired & rather grumpy. l must say though that Nice looks amazing from the air, & l gave kewart a little wave just in case she is there right now.
l'll post some pics later on once l've finished unpacking & got the laundry under way. SOTD will be decided later, as well...

Welcome back teardrop!Sorry your return flight had a bumpy turn. Looking forward to hearing your stories as well as photos in the days ahead.

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Thanks, N.CAL!
Q, glad to hear your hubby's procedure was a success! And l love your new signature.
Shycat, l hope Mr Cat is recovering well from his ordeal! l enjoyed your hilarious account of it, & nearly spat out my coffee when l read the punchline: " l took a pic & sent it to his sister."
foxbins, sorry to hear about your house guest woes. l'm with Trilby on the whole concept, & agree that even the best of friends are best enjoyed from a distance, & in small doses. That said, Mr teardrop's mum is coming to stay for a few days next week. l do adore her though, so l'm sure it'll be fine...
Whitefluffy, how lovely to see you back here!![]()

Hello all.
Une Fleur de Cassie by Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle
DONNA
Hello everyone!
teardrop, it's nice to see you back! I'm glad the trip was nice and am sorry for the delayed flight. Will be waiting for pictures and your thoughts on the time in Greece!
ineespenes, did you like the new Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album? I haven't listened to its first preview yesterday, but I'm absolutely looking forward to listening to it today through Spotify. Nick Cave is probably my favourite musician ever.
Talking about music, I'm going to a metal concert this evening to see Behemoth and Zeal & Ardor live. I have seen both bands before, and they both are amazing live. Looking forward to it so much!
Have a great Friday and weekend, scented friends!
Oh, and I almost forgot - I'm wearing Guilty Absolute again.
Happy Friday!
Welcome home to teardrop!
I‘ve been really busy lately, but still there is plenty of time for cocktail hour today.
Tabac Blond Extrait.
Enjoy your weekend!![]()
Waving to Teardrop (although we came back from Nice on the 25th September!)
So sorry your flight was delayed but Nice has quite a spectacular landing strip right
in the sea.
I am wearing Le Parfum de Therese for the Malle synch. I only have a small decant
but treasure it and use it sparingly.

Welcome back teardrop!
Happy Friday, all.
Hiking today at a spot called "The Walls of Jericho". Sounds intriguing and a little difficult. Over the "odorless" (but not entirely) sunscreen I've spritzed a little Musc Ravageur-from a sample.

Thanks ClockworkAlice, Larimar, kewart & Hazel!
Feeling more settled now after unpacking, getting most of the washing done & taking a much-needed shower. l'm not synching today as l needed something comforting, & reached for Cadjmere 18.
We are both suffering slightly, as poor Mr teardrop managed to fall & crack a rib while we were away, & l have the mosquito bite from hell right on my belly button that's turned into a nasty boil. He's dosed up on Voltarol & Paracetamol, & l'm wearing Savlon along with very loose clothing.![]()

Ouch, teardrop!
Get well soon, both of you!
Yes, I did, but I needed to go through it a few times to get the feel of it. It has a very " ambient" Warren Ellis feel to it. And a lot of people seemed to not apreciate the mitnimalistic sound. It's also very dark, and it feels like a continuation of the last record. Cool to have a mutual Nick Cave fan hereHe's my favourite too
Anyway, sotd is Musc Ravageur so I'm in synch. Have a nice day all
I'm off to a weekend at my bf's family.
Good Morning everyone!
Again, it just feels so lovely to be back!
RHM Hugs right back at you!
Teardrop - Traveling is always an adventure. On our first trip to Hawaii, flights there and back were a very exhausting ordeal as we were routed through way to many unnecessary stops. We were very grumpy too. And on our trip to Costa Rica, which we enjoyed immensely, I got stung by a soldier ant. It took months to heal. All part of good memories
Cestrum - Oh no, I will not be giving up on the Hyacinth. One thing I finally learned from you, is to never EVER get rid of any fragrances that are already in my possession. You never know when you will have that particular itch. I had too many regrets...But lately I do find majority of my fragrances as a touch too loud and perfume-y, and drifted towards pastel colors of other Jo Malones, Ormond Jayne and Ellena's Hermes creations.
I forgot all about Sync Fridays today but will be looking forward to it next week, whatever that might be.
SOTD - Chanel No 5 L'Eau
Have a happy Friday everyone!
Hello and best to everyone. Welcome back, Teardrop! I hope you and Mr Teardrop are better soon.
In synch with Carnal Flower. Also will be in synch with Larimar for a cocktail later on this evening.
Wish you all a good day and weekend!
"I felt something so intense, I could only express it in a perfume." - Jacques Guerlain
Wore a Malle yesterday in Noir Epices...I blind bought it a few months ago and waited until a nice cool day to wear it. It's WAY too feminine on me. Wearing Diptyque 34 Boulevard Saint Germain Eau de Parfum today. Enjoying the crisp fall weather here. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
Consider me (big Behemoth fan) envious !. Have a great evening![]()
Welcoming back teardrop with a TGIF tipple having just taken delivery of a case containing 12 assorted NZ merlots courtesy of a kind-hearted sister. We are spoiled for choice![]()
In synch with Portrait Of A Lady.

SOTE: Bleu De Chanel Parfum
Teardrop, your vacation went so fast. It seems you just left. No FM appeals today, so I'll also wear Cadjmere 18 and use it to connect to you and telegraph healing vibes.
I usually feel superhuman, but today I met a rock I couldn't move. It was on Craigslist. Despite employing a lever, a fulcrum, an incline plane and about 200 lbs. of counterweight force, the 2-foot-diameter granite behemoth (lower case B) still resides in Brookfield. Oh, well, at least I was able to unload a 300 lb. pool liner from our truck beforehand. It's another Craigslist freebie and will be used to smother vegetation to site prep for future prairie.
I scout Craigslist several times a day, seeking railroad ties, etc. for landscaping. This year I noticed a phenomenon: a profusion of couch giveaways. Every time I checked the free listings, there was another couch. Can any sociological inferences be drawn from this? Is this like the old observation about women's skirt length and the state of the economy? Are American couch potatoes wearing out couches faster? Something I'll continue to ponder.

Hello, everyone, and welcome back and feel better teardrop/Mr. teardrop, and hugs in general.
Planned to be in sync today, left the house scentless (eek!), but then decided I could still sync up by stopping by the high-end mall adjacent to my work and spritzing something at Nordstrom. I'd been hoping to try Cologne Indélébile (even though it's probably too summery for today's distinctly "fall in New England" weather here), but when I arrived at Nordstrom, my choices were Portrait of a Lady (waves to Jon, though it does not suit me), Musc Ravageur (for work?!? Nope), L'Eau d'Hiver (love and own this, but it wasn't quite right for my mood today) and (drumroll please....) I ended up being scent twins with Terry today in Frederic Malle Carnal Flower.
Fabulous Friday to all!
Carnal Flower fragrance notes: Bergamot, Melon, Eucalyptus, Ylang ylang, Salycilates, Jasmine, Tuberose absolute, Orange blossom absolute, Coconut, White musks.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson
