Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. Hello!

    N. Cal, gratz on just another milestone!

ineespenes, the news sucks indeed I hope you find an even better flat to rent in no time.

I'm wearing Gucci Guilty Absolute again, it is slowly becoming my favourite, I think.
It's rainy and chilly outside, and the heating season has already started, and my cat is basically living under the blanket, and it is probably going to rain through the rest of the week, but weather forecast says we'll be getting +18 C on Monday. A proper Indian Summer!

Frapin 1270 for today, and where we are we could not have designed a more perfect week of weather.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - Showers in the afternoon, highs around 32C/89F, lows around 24C.
Friday Saturday Sunday - Sunny, highs 30C, lows 20C.

Just gorgeous. The only thing that would make it better is lightning in the storms, they've been just rain.

    Good Morning everyone!

Didn't get to post yesterday, was crazy busy and will be so today too.

Trilby Lark - Let me know how your wardrobe downsizing goes. I just had to gut my wardrobe by roughly two-thirds due to weight loss and I am forced to buy new clothes which is both exciting and financially painful. I would like to be more aware and buy fewer items in the future. It is just so liberating, having fewer pieces (and future decisions to be made) and emptier, tidier looking closet.

N.Cal - Congrats on posting milestone!

Whitefluffy, congratulations on your weight loss. I dropped several sizes myself in the past 1 1/2 years. Research Project 333 on line. I selected 33 clothing items to wear the next three months. My wardrobe now consists of shades of grey, denim, beige, a little black and white, and pops of color in hot pink and orange. I own several Eileen Fisher items that help unify my style. I chose one handbag, one tote, one necklace, watch, ring, etc. for the season. I’m even sticking with Chanel Pirate (red) nail color. Through this experiment, I’m hoping to identify and refine my personal style so I can maintain a smaller and more cohesive wardrobe.

I’m tearing myself away from Heritage today and wearing Guerlain L’Heure Bleue instead. I won’t be surprised if I grab the
Heritage bottle for a quick spritz before the day ends...

    Have a good day.

Ha. Trying to limit oneself to 33 items of clothing. Ha, ha, ha. That's about as many items as I own. Of course, I don't have to leave the house, so there's that. If you see any photos from this Saturday's Basenotes event, you'll notice I'll be wearing the same top I bought for BN's Denver event. Less money spent on clothing leaves more for perfume and purses.

I'm smelling a paper sample of Guerlain's 2019 Embruns d’Ylang. I don't have first-hand experience with ocean smells, yet I really catch the salt water effect this is projecting. Once the ozone shock settles in, I get a sweet background, which smells discordant with the ocean-and-air smell. This is going too much in two different directions for me, and I'm not particularly attracted to either one. I could see a man wearing it for the "fresh air," but not the vanilla. Of course, I'm just opining about what I smell on paper.

On clothes, I loosely try not to have more than 12 in any given category (except workout stuff-I keep enough to get through a week if I ran AND yoga or lifted every day, though there are few weeks that happens), and FEEL like I'd rather have very few somehow magical items that always satisfied me? But in practice, that seems impossible. I don't want to wear the same 5 outfits to work every week, have enough items to sort of build solid 3 week rotations in 2 different seasons, plus casual wear since a few years back I realized I had nothing to wear except work clothes. It seems like a lot to me, fills 3 drawers, a wardrobe, and an underbed box. But Husband thinks I have not so many clothes for a lady, so I guess it's in specs.
