    Default Anyone Tried These?

Has anyone sampled any of these oils from Gucci?

Some of them are okay, but they're all way, way overpriced for what they are. I mean, I like some expensive perfumes, but these in particular really just seem like they're coasting on being Gucci.

Agree with Ultravisitor. I smelled them at the boutique. Mostly pleasant, but nothing really jumped out at me, and not worth that price. Cute bottles, but I'd rather put the money towards buying some Gucci clothing or accessory.

Thanks for stilling my curiosity! They ARE absurdly expensive, and if the scents don't warrant the price, well, there's no point in even sampling.

Are there really people who spend $680 for a candle?

People who can spend $30K for a purse may well spend $600 for a candle.

Anyway, I assume there is a Gucci store in SF, so one can satisfy one's curiosity.

$30k purse? Okay, but this is Gucci, not Hermes.

    Ultravisitor:

Gucci croc bags used to cost $30K+. But I think the designer recently decided not to use croc anymore (for environmental reasons, but perhaps they didn't sell that many after all)

Hermes croc bags I don't know, but I assume $50K+. bottega Veneta crocs start at $20K, but go higher.

Owwwwch. You know that slight pain you get when you hold your nose and try to stifle your sneeze because you really don't want to be sneezing in public? I have the laugh version of that right now.

Sure, but the vast majority of Gucci's bags cost nowhere near 30k--unlike Hermes, where you'll find lots of bags at way higher price points than Guccis. That's all I'm saying.

Also, I'm pretty sure an Hermes crocodile Birkin will probably start closer to $75-80k, for the plain ones are already $10k.
