Default Chanel Allure Homme vs Eqoiste Platiumn??? I went with.......

I was very undecided yesterday when I was at Sephora..I wanted to wear a new scent something out my zone , I wasn't impressed much by Bleu De Chanel..it was ehhhhh yea it was good I guess..I decided to try out Allure and Egoiste platnium took some about 20mins a free applying on my hand that Allure was the better choice ..yet seems this fragrance was ahead of it's time in 1999, this scent smells like the moderen freshyy stuff, but I its own form that still very much Masculine and unique, it's a smell that stands out very classy.i likes Egoiste alot and it's on my radar for the next time then again Sauvage Perfum and Tom Form Nior perfum is up also the EDT version of Sauvage was good also but the Perfum is much more clear and clean..Egoiste smelled very earthy and that's what I like too but I had a choice and I went with Allure , I wish I could of done both but I was on a budget I already purchased Opium PH and Declaration Cartier ...I really wanted to try the first version Eqoiste but have t gotten around to it yet..

I second my opinion on Sauvage Dior it's good but it's not something I'll get anytime soon..it's ok I'm wearing a sample now to work ..it's good but nothing that is WOW , STILL better then the EDT VERSION of Sauvage Dior

Just go with the current Egoiste, head and shoulders above most other stuff.

Either are very decent choices and among the likeliest versatile, everyday appropriate but also simply better made Chanel masculine fragrances.

Might have gone for Egoiste for added luxuriousness and creativity, but likelier to regard either Allure or Egoiste Platinum as effortless, flexible, non-problematic day to day choices with enough stylishness, but also uniqueness to stand out among most everyday designer scents.

Good decision with Chanel Allure Homme itís excellent stuff just shy of 50 wears for me classy and versatile. Egoiste original would also be worth your time, sample Allure Homme Edition Blanche EDP too it is a very nice fragrance I have enjoyed my bottle since purchasing it.

I love the opening blast from Allure Homme. I’m at the end of a 50-ml bottle, and have a 100-ml backup in the wings.

I have three bottles of Platinum Egoiste, which is one of my favorites.

I wore Platinum Egoiste back in the 90s and still love it. I got Allure about 3 weeks ago and like it a lot also, but I still think I like Platinum better

I smelled Egoiste before the Original I thought they was alll good , Chanel Allure Homme , Chanel E. Platiumn , Chanel Egoiste O.g are all very good ...I smelled Chanel Allure Sprt , I didn't like it , no freshy for me , I Had Chanel Allure Sprt extreme and at the time when it first came out I thought it was really good , I smelled it the other day I was the same way as with Chanel Bleu , ehhhh it was good whatever , but Allure Homme was the keeper, but best best believe Egoiste is next , and also Eau Sauvage , Eau Sauvage was alot better then Sauvage Dior , only problem , the performance, Re au Sauvage performance is really sad ..I loge the smell but after 3hours , that's it for me, and Sauvage Dior is a good cologne nicely done alot young men are really chasing it , remember when Drakkar and Fahrenheit first came out , I remember everyone getting it ..same as of today's generation I guess they all want Bleu and Sauvage or Jimmy Joo or YsL Y .

I'm kinda having a hard time reading your posts here, but most of the Chanel lineup you would choose would be great, IMO. The Sauvage Parfum is the best of those, IMO. And the Eau Sauvage should have good projection and longevity unless you just don't care for the scent. The Eau Sauvage 2017 is better, I think.

Bleu de Chanel, the EDP is my favorite of those. Eau Sauvage EDT should have good performance, it does for me. But I don't like the scent as much as the Parfum.

Chanel masculines are all great and cater to different tastes so you are best placed to decide what is right for you. Allure Homme never recovered from Luca Turin’s bashing, but its actually quite nice, easy to wear and complex to my nose.

Allure Homme is the epitome of smooth synth oriental tones to my nose. Chanel Platinum Egoiste is good too, but definitely more of a work frag

I recommend looking at Allure Homme Edition Blanche and Egoiste in the future. Both are great scents.

Hmmm -- I wonder now many potential buyers of this would be influenced by Luca Turin --- or even heard of him?

Platinum Egoist is not as an everyday fragrance as Allure could be (for me, Allure works on autumn-early winter).
I think that Platinum metallic and barbershop feel makes out of it a rare thing in this days.

I wish, that I liked Platinum, I would have liked to have the set, but itís like inhaling razor blades and needles, itís that shrill and piercing to my nose.

Good choice with the Allure, itís underrated (was by me as well), but Iím now eyeing it as a future purchase.

Luca Turin is not a fragrance, at least not yet, but he writes about perfume. He has huge influence with some people, and gets quoted often. Some people quote him in a lot of their reviews, as if their reviews are just an addendum to his.

    Haha!

Pregoni should create a Turin fragrance, and with Basenotes Kiss My Ass he could start a whole new line called The Vendetta Collection.

I love both Allure Homme and Platinum Egoiste. I have both the solid gold cap Allure Homme and the tall square cap for PE. But i have the recent formulation of Egoiste and it is lovely , especially now its getting cold. Get all three lol.
