Can anyone advise me on buying from FragranceX... I'm in UK and want to avoid getting shafted from the customs man...

It states duty paid on their listingd, but just thought I'd check if anyone had any experience... I bought a set of bike leathers from Dallas last year and got well and truly fxxked by customs.

As of now, the United Kingdom has an automatic Duty tax charged at checkout. This applies to orders under 300$ USD. You will no longer need to pay any extra fees for duty/vat as we pay them forward for you. All orders arrive hassle and fee-free.......

Hello

Yes I can vouch for what they’ve told you - tax is calculated at the basket stage. I would suggest making an account on their site, putting in your Scottish address, then add something to your basket. It will then calculate your final price all inclusive.

To get free shipping, especially on smaller orders, I suggest using the code FSW (‘free shipping wordlwide’).

Can I ask why are the products priced in HKD.. I assumed they would be despatched from NY..and priced in $....

Edit: Got it sorted, logged in with HKD default...

Truly Bizarre... !

I've been pondering the last hour or two what to buy from fragrancex... so I registered and started to buy, 1st up 50ml Ice Men in the bag @ £56.50 ( it's been that price since I first saw it listed on their website weeks ago)....

I added and a couple of others.. hit checkout and the price for Ice Men jumped up to £84.20 !... wtf... now searching it's listed at £84.20 less £12.63 Coupon Discount making £71. 57...

At first I thought I was seeing things, but sure enough, looks like I've just been unlucky... I don't have the first screenshot unfortunately as I had deleted the contents of the bag ...

Sorry only just seen this post. Yes it somehow tries to detect where you are browsing from and it does tend to make some huge assumptions in there. Browsing from a mobile it tends to assume I’m in China!

Regarding prices be very careful to use the correct discount code and make sure they have been applied before proceeding to pay.

FSW - free shipping worldwide code is good only for low value purchases

FX15 - now gives free shipping to outside the US (only tested this from the UK mind you...) for purchases over a certain amount. It *might* be for GBP £50 but could be more but that is 15% off as well.
