If you want Oud and nothing else but oud - Original Aoud by Montale. Affordable, but very linear.

Define "quality oud" lol. I know of several great fragrances that have "a/oud" in the name but are actually shit representations of oud.

Not gonna get any real Oud for that price and that amount, if that matters to you. You could get real Oud oil for around the higher end of that range, but for max 2.5 mls or so.

I understand. What’s your pick then for the best bang for the buck?

I'd strongly suggest Oud Palao by Diptyque, or Thirty-Three by Ex Idolo for rose+oud. These might be slightly outside your budget, but absolutely worth it IMO.

I’ll try that Diptyque, apparently a boutique just opened up nearby

If it were me ( and I have had the luxury of already going through what you are experiencing now ), I would highly recommend either Oud for Love or Oud Shamash by The Different Company. They can be found without box for approx. $75.00 for 50ml.
My signature is written in ancient Aramaic using invisible ink that's scented by a unique and secretive combination of birch tar and saffron infused with a wispy rendition of garlic.
