Default Best aftershave for under $10 on Amazon?

While I was looking for a scent free aftershave, I'm not sure there's any available. I did buy from dollar tree their green bottle aftershave for $1. It's very musky.

I'm not sure if a balm works best vs alcohol base in toning or even-ing.

    A dollar well spent?

For its purpose as an aftershave, sure?

I didn't know Dollar Tree has em. I'm going there later to get candy for the movies so I may check that out.

Alcohol does your skin no favors. Balm is what you want for moisturizing and toning.

Alcolhol and my face dries it up and makes it break out bright red. I avoid aftershave to the face. I did try to do things bassakwards and put face lotion on, then put the afteshave on afterwards, so it wouldn't irritate my skin quite so much. And I mostly kept it around my facial hair which is somewhat thick right now.

I'd assume the alcohol based aftershave evens out freshly shaved faced.

Summer time my face don't dry up but only during winter.

That's just working at cross purposes with yourself. Alcohol-based aftershaves were originally used by barbers for their antiseptic qualities, but contemporary balms can use alternative antiseptics that aren't so harsh on skin tissue and still briefly impart a pleasant scent. Personally, I prefer unscented balm so that it doesn't mingle with my choice of fragrance, but if you have a signature frag, a scented balm makes some sense. (I have a Terre d'Hermès balm that came with a gift set, so I sometimes use that.)

Most of the old Avon aftershaves have alcohol but also glycerin and other things that actually keep your face from drying out.

If you want something that isn't creamy but works well and is fairly modern, Gillette Cool Wave should do.

    Note the bassakwards part. Yes.
I wanted to put on the aftershave splash primarily for the scent. Skin didn't try out and it didn't get irritated, so it worked out well enough.

I trim a couple times a week. Rarely shave with a razor, except for my upper cheekbones.

I am a wet shaving enthusiast and have all kinds of post shave products viz Aftershaves, balms, gels etc etc. A constant that's always there as a post shave routine for me is a witch Hazel toner. You may try some by Thayer's.

If you are in USA I would recommend Chatillon Lux post shave toners too. Little expensive but you will fall in love with their products. Scents are awesome and really good for skin.

I don't care for the brief smell, but witch hazel is my go-to aftershave juice. Once it dries down I can choose nothing else or go with a balm or splash.

I tried the one dollar aftershaves from Dollar Tree. For only being a dollar, I guess you can say they're ok. Just smell like cheap cheap knockoffs of Aqua Velva or Brut.

    With alcohol -

    Gillette Cool Wave
    Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve
Acqua Velva Ice Blue / Sport

    No alcohol -

    Nivea Men aftershave balms

Toners are different. Typically I use toner before aftershave.

Nivea has good stuff. Gillette also has a good non-alcohol aftershave balm. I typically use Cremo aftershave balm.

Brut is my favorite. Aqua Velva Musk is pretty darn good too.
It’s tragic to think that heroic man’s great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.

I like the Turkish aftershaves. Duru lemon is a nice one. Cheap too.

My hairdresser had it at 50% off so I picked one up. It's rather good. It has a nice soothing, calming effect with a refreshing sensation. I think is way better than the Nivea's, L'oreal, (et al poor quality) balms sold in supermarkets. I'm not sure I'd pay full retail, but at £7 for 150ml is a good deal. I'm getting another bottle or two.

At around $10 U.S., that's a good price, considering the bottle size.
