Hello everyone! It's quite warm and sunny today - around 15 C. Indian Summer at its best.

I'm in Pink Grapefruit by The Body Shop body yoghurt and EDT after a shower, slept in a bit, enjoying my morning coffee in the afternoon and reading in bed.

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. Mmmm. Sounds good. It's gray and chilly here, so a hot cider toddy would be fab to cozy up to. I've been content with low-carb for three years now, but every autumn I see if I can tolerate bringing Cortland apples back into my menu. After the pounds creep up and my appetite increases, I recognize they're best kept out of my full-year routine. Berries, tomatoes and dry wines are as far as I can stray on the fruity front. Bakery of all kinds I don't miss at all. Oh, but those sweet-tart Cortlands ...

Today I'll be burning an area plagued with weeds in hopes I can reseed it with prairie grass next spring. Leathery VIP Room should blend with the smoke.

I'm wearing L'Heure Bleue this morning. Had chocolate cake for breakfast, unplugged the shower drain, reading Elton John's autobiography. It's a good day so far.

Scrubbed up and now wearing New Haarlem.

Listened to a podcast interview of Ken Druse who has a new book, The Scentual Garden, which is about fragrance. Sounds like he took a deep dive on perfumery and learned our lingo. I have some of Ken's books, and they are top notch.
