Question Help me pick two casual everyday scents with good longevity and around $40 each!

    Hi!.
I'm on the hunt again for two scents for everyday use, one for colder days and the other for sunny weather.

I think i've previously focused way to much on oriental sweet scents. I currently own la nuit de l'homme, ck one shock, one million and perry ellis pour homme, my favorite of the bunch being la nuit.
I like the perry ellis a lot, but i find that longevity is way too short on me. To be fair, i think overall my skin doesn't help with scents lasting way too much since i have somewhat dry skin.

A bit of context, i'm 29 years old, i work as a nurse, dress as skater and play guitar on a rock band. I think more informal scents suits me better. I live in a coast city with a lot of humidity.

Right now i'm considering the following ones:

    - Versace Pour Homme
    - Versace Dylan Blue
    - Guerlain L'homme ideal
    - Guerlain L'instant
    - Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey
    - Armaf Club de Nuit Intense
    - Lalique Encre Noire sport
    - Givenchy Gentleman
    - Lanvin L'Homme

I'd also like to try something new, so feel free to suggest.

    Thank you!

    - Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey
    - Lalique Encre Noire sport
    - Givenchy Gentleman

For cool weather, I recommend Bvlgari Man Black Orient (it works surprisingly well in warm weather, too, perhaps because it's dry and smooth rather than dense/syrupy).

Thank you so much! I read a lot of people praising the guerlain vetiver, and i 've tried in the past the burberry london (and i liked it a lot)

Between the edp and the cologne one, which of the guerlain l'homme ideal flankers do you like better?

I really enjoy the entire line, if I was choosing one for everyday wear in a warmer climate, I would probably go with L'homme Ideal Cologne. Although as Ken_Russel recommended L'homme Ideal Sport is also very nice. It's worth testing both if you can. L'homme Ideal EDP for me is more suited for evenings and cooler weather. I'm also not sure how I would feel about it if I was wearing it as an every day casual fragrance.

Also as Speckmann pointed out Guerlain Homme L’Eau Boisee would also be a nice casual wear. I just recently added a bottle to my collection, but have only tested it on paper. From my limited testing it's quite nice. An excellent lime note with a very nice grassy woody vetiver base. It's going to be on my list this week to wear.

Guerlain L’Instant De Guerlain Pour Homme is a nice fragrance I prefer the EDP it is a nice dressed up/semi dressed up fragrance imo.
Guerlain Homme L’Eau Boisee is similar to Hermes Terre D’Hermes but replaces the orange with a lime note great stuff and stands out.

I agree with these. I also really like Versace Eros, I think that one is a pretty versatile year round frag that smells nice and lasts a long time.

But this is the first thing that popped into my mind when I read "casual, long lasting, every day fragrance for less than $40"

Eesh, I don't know man. I don't feel like any of those are all day wears except the Armaf, and I'm not really sure that is a recommend blind buy.

Ranked in decending order for how long they last:
    - Armaf Club de Nuit Intense
    - Guerlain L'homme ideal
    - Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey
    - Versace Dylan Blue
    - Lalique Encre Noire sport
    - Guerlain L'instant
    - Givenchy Gentleman
    - Versace Pour Homme
    ------------------------------------
    - Lanvin L'Homme - I haven't tried this one, so I am omitting it.

Those were not based on any smell, quality, or anything. Just simply longevity. I do think Guerlain Boisee is a decent pick, though it might be a little serious for you. If I had to pick from that list it would be Guerlain Ideal, EDT or EDP, either. Its not a super close one for me. I would consider it ahead by at least a length, to boot. Armani Code Profumo/Stronger with You would be my picks from the world at large. I'm not a huge fan, but Azzaro Wanted will last and smell updated that would fit with the fragrances for a twenties crowd.
It’s tragic to think that heroic man’s great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.
