Thread: Your Best Deal

So far, a bottle of Jaguar Green (admittedly the current silver cap bottle rather than the vintage wooden cap one) got for the equivalent of 4-5 EUR/USD from an online fragrance retailer that added extra discounts to fragrances bought by long term and/or high turnover customers, provided that the discounts were used for upcoming purchases.

As this Jaguar fragrance was not expensive in the first place and belonged to the fragrances that qualified for even further discounts, this is how such price became possible.

However if having to reminisce about and more importantly to recommend fragrances that allow for good deals anytime, even without particular discounts or special offers, the next best deals were male fragrances by Lapidus and Jacques Bogart-again, their price being constantly next to nothing, while their value for money and performance unexpectedly good.

Nothing quite as amazing as the above, but as I am only a few months into this hobby/journey, these are ones that I found to be 'bargains' as such

100ml Givenchy xeryus rouge (original bottle) £15 from a local chemist when it was closing
    100ml dior homme £30
    50ml terre d'hermes vetiver £25

Hmm. I cannot remember scoring such great deals as you guys had. Perhaps that 1976 vintage Gucci pour Homme for $20 counts...

I befriended the new Chanel guy at Neiman's and was talking about how I wanted to buy a bottle of Egoiste, which they stopped carrying in-store. A bit later, while talking to the Creed guy, the Chanel guy comes over with a ribboned bag. He had taken a full 3.4oz tester bottle of Egoiste from one of his cabinets and offered it to me for free. I was so grateful and made sure my next few purchases was through him.

100ml bottles of Gucci Pour Homme for $43 each (after discontinuation) at a Canadian border duty free store. This was in about 2013. They were covered in dust on some untouched shelf in the fragrance section. I bought as many as I could, which was about 8.

$130.00. My apologies. I typed it as if I sold them for $130.00. I purchased them for $130.00 each. Kept one, and sold the other two for $165.00 each.

A kind Basenoter tipped me off to a website that miraculously was selling legit, vintage Patou Pour Homme at regular retail prices. At the time it was going for astronomically high prices elsewhere. Can't remember the exact price I paid. I want to say it was around $90. Dang, a GREAT buy.

Got a bottle 100ml Xerjoff Irisss bottle for less than $600 a few years ago that was purchased from essenza nobile. This was before restrictions kicked on shipping for Germany.
