Is there a website for this? If not, would you mind sharing the notes and perfumer? I don't know anything about it.
Wasn’t even aware of this being in the process of production, I’ve watched his reviews and felt he knows his stuff and gravitated towards quality fragrances. Yes there is some goofiness along the way but it keeps it interesting, looking at the notes this sounds like a promising release and it’s in Extrait De Parfum very promising. What are your thoughts and do you plan to try this fragrance, I’m keeping a open mind and hope it’s a solid release.
Kickstarter is open and already surpassed the needed amount, according to Fragrantica review post set for early 2020 release.

Like the notes on this one.

This is the new trend among Youtubers. I just saw the Redolessence announcement that he's got his own fragrance coming out as well. I'll definitely try whatever is coming out, as long as it's widely available. Will also wait to hear from my fellow BNers if you all get it first.![]()
It looks okay and Mr. Smelly is a funny dude, but I just can't justify the price he's asking for what appears to be a freshie that likely won't last overly long.

If I'm not mistaken, John Stephen was the perfumer for my two favorites from Czech & Speake, No.88 and Oxford & Cambridge. Unless it's a different John Stephen. Pretty common name, but given the UK connection, I'm guessing it is him.
If it is him, I'll sample.
I will sample this fragrance. Although Mr. Smelly injects comedy in his videos I respect his nose and recommendations.
The pedigree seems good, and it's Extrait concentration, which is commendable. The note list reads as "classic, spicy fougere," which, y'know, is a thoroughly explored category but I appreciate contemporary attempts to work within a classic framework. It seems to be priced fairly.
I'm not inclined to blind-buy, but I'd say that the odds are good that this turns out to be pretty decent.
I will be excited to sample this. I dig the smelly army, but im not a classic gentleman citric cologne guy. Hes a Monsieur de Givenchy guy, im expecting a high quality, high concentration fragrance in that vein. Gotta be better than office 1, i believe his nose.
It’s tragic to think that heroic man’s great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.
Definitely seems to be. Fragrance influencers finally catching up with other areas and really commercialising by releasing their own...well...'products'.
Remains to be seen how good this is, I suppose. Not just initially, but in terms of whether it degrades, what cost cutting has been made etc. I feel like the clone houses fall in to the trap of aiming too high in some areas and falling far too short in others - I wonder if this trend will suffer in the same way? If it seems too good to be true...
"Colourless green ideas sleep furiously."
Thanks to everyone for the interest. The fragrance is a fougere created by John Stephen is priced at £75 for 100ml
These are the notes;
Top: bergamot, mandarin, lavender
Mid: cardamom, coriander, pepper
Base: patchouli, ambergris, oakmoss, vanilla
It’s concentrated at 20% oil and is therefore an extrait de parfum
Longevity is very good indeed on my skin.
I can totally understand some scepticism towards the idea of a YouTuber launching a fragrance but I really believe it’s a great scent that fans of classic gentlemanly stuff such as Bois du Portugal, Fougere Royal, Armani Eau Pour Homme, Invasion Barbare etc should love.

Mr Smelly (Dan Naughton)
Mr Smelly has imo very good old school taste and this looks good. I've purchased a few scents from watching his videos and have not been disappointed. One of them was Milano Cento Him, great scent.

Get ready people for the onslaught of fragrances released by YouTubers. Are these folks into reviewing or profiting. We shall soon see.
Btw nothing wrong with making money. But one needs to ask these YouTubers did not release a fragrance until they had a following? That's not art. That is marketing. Art in perfumery is basically dead.
I must say that the note pyramid seems something I could go for, and the comparison to Fougere Royale and Armani pour Homme (never smelled BdP and IB) doesn't hurt either.
In this day and age where so many releases either seem to be mind numbingly generic/boring or super avant/garde, it's nice to see someone who has a love for the classics, and want to translate that into a current day fragrance (something Fougere Royale did so extremely well I think). I'm not into the kickstarter/blind buy thing when it comes to new and unproven scents, but I would definitely like to sample this one if the chance occurs.
I think Mr. Smelly's bottle looks way, way, way better produced than what Jeremy Fragrance has put out. I expect, based on Mr. Smelly's fragrance sensibilities, that the fragrance will be better as well. It should be pointed out that both of these youtuber's fragrances fall into genres that have literally hundreds, if not thousands of similar scents. These don't likely offer something new to fragrance enthusiasts. To fragrance collectors, these would be nice bottles to own because they are a part of the history of fragrance. So, they are viable historically.
Good luck my friend! Wishing you the best on this fragrance endeavor
Chris aka Fragmental and George aka The Fragrance Apprentice put out some videos about Gravitas pour Homme:

Beat me to it!
I hope to try it one day.. sounds pretty much perfect from the notes. Fragrance Apprentice gave a quick review on YouTube and he said it was everything he expected of a cologne from Mr. Smelly, given his tastes.

One I will acquire as long as price is decent, with its concentration it should be worth it and with the already respectful reviews it should be solid!

What do you think about Dan using (again!) "Jeremy Fragrance Office for Men" in his title of the video for more clicks and then comparing his fragrance to Jeremy's, basically saying it is superior (10/10 vs 7,5/10)?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at1pJ1gQOts
I don't want to judge but I think it was never a good idea to bash the competitors...
Just sayin'.
It’s tragic to think that heroic man’s great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.
I understand what you say and do agree in general - but if the product is good enough it can speak for itself.
And of course you could say it's better than other products - but without naming them.
In my opinion it's just clickbait to promote his own fragrance - those two fragrances seem to have nothing in common which justifies such a comparison - except they were initiated by Youtube fragrance reviewers.
Im not up on the youtube culture, if naming another product in your thumbnail is considered bad form, or misleading. It would seem to be using the other product for clicks.

I like his humor, too - and of course his videos.
But I have to say I never expected such a move from him - that's just not very classy imho.
If any other reviewer had done that comparison I wouldn't have said anything.
Probably I'm the only one who thinks so, especially here on BN where it seems that the majority dislikes Jeremy and what he does.
However that's why I asked about your opinion.
Oh and he's certainly not the only one who jumps on the train with Jeremy's popularity on Youtube.
There are now a ton of videos from other reviewers which feature the terms "fragrance", "office" and "men" in the title since Jeremy released his first fragrance.
