It's not very spring-like today - cold and windy. I'm wearing Moonlight Patchouli by VC&A. Will probably do some pottering about the house instead of being outside in the cold wind.

    Have a good day!

CuddleCat, pottering is always a good idea!

    Go Team Pottering!

Feminite du Bois. Gosh, FdB is just so right any time except summer's heat. She's neither bashful nor brazen, neither sweet nor bitter, neither dull nor overbearing. You're both civilized and natural, dear fragrance. You're brilliant.

DH is in his tree stand, and I've found comfort in watching movie-length home videos of train travel on YouTube. It's almost like my tv is the window from my Amtrak roomette, and I can watch the scenery or read my book, drink my coffee just as though I'm traveling. I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying this. Seeing the scenery, I get lost in thoughts about geography, industry, architecture, geology, climate, botany, history, photography, farming, transportation, waterways, and the varied nature of the prolific human animal.
    I don't want to. I don't have to. You can't make me. I'M RETIRED.

    Hello, scented darlings!

First of all, thank you everyone for the get well wishes. I'm feeling actually better after yesterday's party instead of worse, and I think it's because of you all. Or maybe beer and dancing until 5 AM in a rock bar are actually good for my health after all. Who would have thought!
Though I did turn down a friends' invitation to visit them today just in case. I feel like I need some quiet time today, and I don't really want to spread my precious bacilli any further. All mine!

kewart, great to hear you're feeling great after more sleep. Have a good time with your son!

Quarry, thank you for nice words!
And your praise for Feminite du Bois is inspiring me to try it again. I remember I was expecting to love it and 5 o'clock au gingembre, but when I tried them, I didn't get the magic. They both appeared strangely sour on my skin. So now I'm not sure if my nose has to mature some more or is Lutens just not a very good fit for me. For example, I remember how I found Datura Noir just divine on a blotter paper, but it turned to a cloying mess on my skin when I tried it on me.

teardrop, congrats on a posting milestone! I enjoy all your posts I get to read - keep doing the good work

    Kagey, happy birthday!

Edit: I forgot to mention my SOTD - it's Pink Sugar, the ultimate cozy stay-at-home scent. I'm very glad I got it. 10 Euro well spent.

Was a lazy Sunday. Cold brew coffee. Sun at the pool. Matinee movie with my partner (The Joker - wow!). A haphazard dinner that included lot's of little appetizers all eaten together - I love dinners like that. Some kombucha now and I just finished a nice ghost story (Slade House by David Mitchell).

I wore this all day (my bottle is almost finished) - this scent is like a palate cleanser. Such a classic:
