Default Which classic Guerlain fragrances are best for work?

Hello everyone, Zhang Fan here with another question. I have been reading about Guerlain fragrances, and I think these ones sound good:

    Heritage
    Jicky
    L’Heure Bleue
    L'Homme Ideal EDP
    Mitsouko
    Samsara
    Shalimar

I'm trying to guess which ones might be suitable for work. I don't mind if it's a little bit feminine.

For work? I'd probably go with L'Instant EDT.

Good choices already, however also adding adding Habit Rouge l'Eau and/or Habit Rouge Sport, most of the Aqua Allegoria line, Guerlain Homme Eau Boisee, l'Homme Ideal Cologne and/or l'Homme Ideal Sport

I don’t know about that list and safe for work, especially for a guy....most are women’s fragrances. But I think L’Homme Ideal EDP would be alright.

The Guerlain Homme line is probably your best bet in terms of office-friendly fragrances.

I'd say all of the above would be ok except Samsara. Especially in vintage form, Samsara is a big jasmine, so perhaps too much for work. L'homme ideal is probably the most stereotypically masculine of the lot, and the least classic. The others are all classic and elegant.

If forced to vote, I'd go for Jicky, a vanillic fougere.

L'Homme Ideal EDP and Heritage would work well IMO.

    Eau de Guerlain
FYI: I spray all fragrances on clothing, never on skin.

Heritage or lhomme. Heritage is a bit old school. If you dont like patchouli its a no. Lhomme is much maligned, but they are solid frags, better than average.
It’s tragic to think that heroic man’s great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.

    Another good pick.

I would vouch for vintage Derby, I find it quite suitable for work as well.

    Pretty much this.

Also during colder seasons Heritage might work as well. As per more modern fall/winter office L'Homme Ideal EDT or EDP, for the summer Cologne, Cool and Sport flankers might do a good job. You might also want to try Guerlain Homme EDT or Boisee flanker for the office as I find the EDP to be too "deep" and more of an evening fragrance.

ZhangFan - Good to see you starting threads. I'm surprised you're looking into classic, feminine Guerlain's, but I like it. The key, of course, is being able to sample.

L'Heure Bleue and Mitsouko are a couple of my favorites. Even saying that, it's good to be able to sample the different concentrations. For the current versions, if I couldn't re-sample to confirm, I would go with edp for L'Heure Bleue and edt for Mitsouko. The current parfum version of L'Heure Bleue isn't great.

There’s no singular’best’. It depends on how receptive the culture/ environment at your workplace.

That said, I’ve safely worn to the office carefully callibrated applications of these Guerlains:-

    Heritage edt
    Jicky edt
    Mitsouko edt
    Arsene Lupin Dandy
    Derby
    Spiritueuse Double Vanille

I reckon if you know how to moderate the application to keep them discreet you could wear just about anything. But watch out for those hypersensitive colleagues.

SDV is a great cozy office scent, it's one of my favorite dumb reaches for the fall/winter time.

From your list, L'Homme Ideal EDP.
