Saw a video of the fires, looks terrifying. I’m in California, but near the beach in San Diego, thankfully no fires or power outages here.

Testing Slumberhouse Ore and Kilian Woman in Gold today.

Our kiddo is back from Orlando, PL. She usually stays for just two days and one night and gets on a WDW game show. I'll spare everyone the full videos, but share the faces she makes when asked a question she's doesn't think she knows the answer to, then guesses at, and finally freaks out when the answer's correct.

I love her reactions! Very funny! I see her resemblance to you, so clearly...

...and, I am glad someone mentioned the fact that we all, cannot continue to build or live in such areas frequented by natural [or otherwise] disasters. It'll bite us in the ass eventually.

Maybe we need to re-populate the Midwest and Rustbelt. There’s plenty of housing, just not where people want to live. In my lifetime, I’ve seen California’s beautiful agricultural lands consumed by overpopulation. To me, California’s environmental degradation symbolically began with then-Governor Reagan’s statement, “If you’ve seen one redwood tree, you’ve seen them all.” That was about 50 years ago and, sadly, that point of view seems to be back in vogue.
