Default Great projection oriental spicy for women/unisex

I am hoping perhaps you ladies can help me out in selecting a nice fragrance for my wife. She prefers oriental spicy as opposed to flowery fragrances. Her common complaint is a lack of longevity and more importantly projection with the fragrances she has tried. At the present time her most satisfying fragrance is Kenzo Jungle Elephant as it has great projection and staying power. Would love to find something in that arena. I would appreciate any recommendations that you might have in keeping in mind reasonable pricing. Thank you in advance.

Vintage Opium. It can be had for under $100.
Spices with some fruit, Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir.

Others here will have more suggestions.

Chanel Coco, current formulation. ‘Nuff said!

Thank you. Does the vintage formulation have more longevity/projection than current formulas?

As to the projection comparison, I can't honestly say. Vintage smells richer, but I don't know about the throw.

Vintage Opium is my ultimate suggestion too.
It fits every requirement! Nothing quite like it.

I will add Estee Lauder Youth Dew. Inexpensive, but still very good and powerful. There is also a Youth Dew bath oil that makes for a very perfumed bathtub soaking.

I would suggest Mona di Orio Vanille - it shares quite a few notes to the Kenzo fragrance and it has good performance.

Calvin Klein's Obsession is still a powerful & spicy oriental.

    This is my favourite genre.
It all began for me with Balenciaga's Cristobal,
which is sadly discontinued, although still available at high prices on ebay.
    My suggestions would be :
Nohiba by E.Coudray, Penhaligon's Halfeti (unisex)
Fendi - (very strong sillage but discontinued although easily still available) Byredo Black Saffron and Caron Parfum Sacre or Poivre.
A woman without perfume is like a flower without a scent.

Thank you, I will investigate your recommendations. I have Fendi Uomo which I like very much. My wife also has Fendi Theorema which I purchased for her a couple of years ago. It is fantastic but hard to find now and expensive.

To the excellent suggestions already mentioned, I’ll add Estée Lauder Cinnabar. Maybe Tom Ford Black Orchid? That’s pretty spicy and potent, too.

Based on recommendations herein I purchased Sacre. I paid $35 for 3.3 oz. new in sealed box. That seems to be a bargain.

My suggestion - Oajan - a wonderful unisex oriental

I'd suggest Dune (Dior), which seems light, but is anything but.

Something more current - Jasmin Marzipan (Lancome).

And if you really want to clear the room, Angel (although some would classify this as a gourmand).

I purchased the Sacre by Caron. Wow, this stuff is very potent! Projection and longevity are superb. My wife loves it and wears it quite often. Thanks for your suggestion.

Coco EdT/EdP is definitely worth a try, so is Opium (earlier version).

Try Narciso for Her EdT. One of the sexiest feminine out there. Incredible sillage and longevity.

Congratulations for the purchase and also taking the liberty to add for additional (re) testings the Jaipur fragrance range by Boucheron, Jaipur and/or Wish by Chopard, Songe d'un Bois d'Ete by Guerlain and most if not all feminine and unisex scents by Serge Lutens.

While predominantly very little above or precisely on, even more so, in the case of Chopard way below the required budget limits, the value for money, performance and consistency with Oriental themes are anywhere from decent to downright impressive for each of these.
