Did this really need the stronger formulation?

I've been meaning to pick up the L'Envol EdP and several other Cartier scents for a while now...

I think the EDP is plenty strong and is a best-of-the-decade designer masculine, so I'm eager to sample this.

I didn't care for the EDT.

From the notes, it looks like an more or less different fragrance with a different scent profile, not just a beefed-up take on the original.

Thank you for the recommendation, while admitting to not have sampled this version/release yet, also admitting to have liked this very much as EDT but also as EDP

Doesn't seem to be in the Cartier website yet. Released to whom? Where?

Bet this is good. I loved the EDP as a sample, and blind-bought the EDT based on both positive and negative reviews here. Loved the EDT even more, as I expected.

I love the EDT & EDP. I’m curious about this too. Parfum versions need not be an improvement IMO. It just needs to smell great and wear well.

I find them fairly different. There's shared DNA, but I think the EDP--which came first--is a more fully realized version of the L'Envol concept. I find the EDT to have less personality.

Yes, I thought the same. The EDT seems more "airy" and sweet but by sacrificing some kind of depth. I could easily own both versions, but I went "EDT first" because I seem to be very sensitive to some aspect of both, and found the EDP almost too strong. Took a chance on the EDT, and it was in the Goldilocks zone!!!

For me, it's like TdH or BdC - love every version.

I went for that style bottle for the EDP over the refillable version. It's a hefty piece of kit, very nice indeed.

    Same here. Very, very weighty.

New Parfum sounds nice from the notes list. Never tried the EdT.

EdP is a bit heavy on the sticky honey vibe for my taste. Parfum version — best if the intense honey accord is refined to include some complementing spices.

I have edt and I like the scent but hate the bottle. Almost broke it when center piece got loose and fell out from glass case

Right now I think that I have all the fragrances that I want.

Have you got the refillable version? The non-refillable one is rock solid.
