Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

    Good morning!
Yesterday we had the first Tea club meeting with colleagues - we formed it last week on a whim to discuss work unrelated stuff and relax and engage in conversations. Our first topic was a movie Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - because of the book club theme. There's also a book, but we decided it would be easier for everyone to just watch a film.

    Hello, everyone!

ClockworkAlice, I now have to go find that book! The title alone will be worth getting ahold of a copy from our local library. Also happy bonfires to all who celebrate, sharing kewart's hopes for all delights and no injuries.

Random pick from my bag-of-samples-beside-my-computer-so-I-try-the-darn-things is Les Indémodables Chypre Azural.

Not what I was expecting - the tarocco orange is distinctly not green, though after the initial "oh!" response, it does have some greenish undertones, and altogether the fragrance works, at least so far. But much more citrus to me than chypre... Let's see how it dries down, and I'm going to need to give this one a few more tries in different weather, too.

    Terrific Tuesday, to all!

Chypre Azural fragrance notes: Sicilian tarocco orange, Egyptian rose centifolia, Tarragon, Indonesian patchouli, Amber.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Wish whispers, “Something is just around the corner,” what comes or not is never what was wished for. When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson

ComDiva, it should be a good book - the movie was lovely. I wasn't too fond of the lovestory line (not a big romance fan myself), but there were lots of great stuff besides that - the books, the afterwar, the mysteries, the interesting characters, the humour, and, yeah, a quirky club name - and its namesake pie, not very delicious.

    Hiyo, all you fine individuals.

I can't say I'm deeply enthralled with Prada Iris Cedre, but I am thrilled with the change of pace it's giving me. It's not like anything else in my wardrobe. After awhile, sheer novelty, without rough spots, is a welcomed experience.

CwAlice, your group sounds just lovely.
