Suggestions on leather frags similar to knize ten?

If you have money to burn, Xerjoff 17/17 Homme is quite similar. I find Knize a bit too sweet and floral in the opening, whereas the Xerjoff is much drier, with the leather front and centre.

But Knize Ten is the most cost-effective.

Thanks, I'll do a search later on. It's hard to pin point though at times when searching.

I have two batches on Knize: ch. 17 and ch. 21. So pretty good batches and bottles that are 85-90% full. I have enough for a while for sure, just looking for something new

They are both the same (older) formulation.
A reformulation (end 2014) started with CH22........ and up. I got 3 bottles myself with codes between CH18-21 and are all the same and with dark gold/yellow colored juice.

Thanks. so it looks like I should be set, and nothing really comes close to the bottles that I/We have.

While it may be difficult to match this, (apart from the good suggestions already mentioned) two further scents on the pricier side may be worth (re) testing and/or considering, namely: the Knize Ten Golden Edition flanker and/or even more pricey, Creed REL

Perhaps try Cuir by LT Piver.

This may sound ridiculous but if K10 interests you, then do take a look at the Golden Edition as well. For some owning both is just madness; for others it does make sense.

Gomma by Etro is another one to look check out.

It's kind of hard to come by I think, but I find Signor Vivara - Emilio Pucci to be in the ballpark of vtg. Knize Ten. It's less powdery/dandy and more on the castoreum-heavy side, overall smoother and perhaps slightly more oriental leaning...although not in a spiced way. That's kind of vague but the best I can describe it without smelling it.

It is billeted as "cologne" strength but absolutely beastly on my skin.

I'd +1 hednic's suggestion of the L.T. Piver as well, provided the current Cuir is similar to their older Cuir de Russie. I've only smelled the latter and there's certainly something Knize about it.

+1 for Gomma as well. It might be the closest I've tried.

From what I gather ( thanks BN!) older Dunhills had a dot over the"i" in the logo.
Dunhill for Men was also labels as Dunhill Cologne early on too
I think there is also some talk about "better" new versions - Made in Germany . I think the newset newset ones are USA made?

Haven't found any leather note similar tbh. Knize 10 is animallic yet also very smooth and oily, I think the leather in vintage Nicole Miller might match up, even current version of the very cheap Nicol Miller, but the quality doesn't compare. Nicole Miller smells cheaper, but not cheap, something like a $50 frag, Knize 10 smells rich.

I agree that other than the Golden Edition flanker, there is very little that comes close (I have them both and love them). Floris' Leather Oud strikes a similar chord to me but is still a very different fragrance.
Very clearly a case for corn flakes and classics
