Default Casual fragrances for teenage boys

Hello, Christmas is closer and closer, I plan on gifting my nephew a fragrance (he is 15). What would you suggest? I am looking for something versatile and something that he can wear to school.

The two that immediately came to mind for me both happen to be very affordable options: The original Curve and Calvin Klein Eternity Summer 2016.

Your question is sort of a difficult one, but those two seem light-hearted and easy going to me and something that might fit a young man well.

I would consider both to be versatile and appropriate for school.

Added: after thinking about this a little more...

    Bleu de Chanel EDT

And, if I were in high school right now, what I'd want to own is Scent of Peace For Him. Couple things: this one's expensive so there's risk involved. And, it's strong so definitely use a light application.

Just from personal experience, I'd advise against this route. I gifted my niece a bottle of Creed Royal Water back when she graduated high school. Basically, I learned that one should gift things that the receiving party will actually appreciate. I'm not saying she didn't like it; rather, it bore no significance to her and her tastes/experience at that age, hence she didn't appreciate it the way someone who's been into this hobby for some time would. I believe it collected dust and her mother ended up snatching it from her, lol. It's just those are some expensive choices for someone who may not be able to appreciate them. Hell, I'm not afraid to admit the first time I drank Czech Bud I thought to myself, "What the hell? This isn't Budweiser!" - and that I was pretty damn ignorant. Haven't touched mass produced beer in DECADES, but wouldn't mind having a Czech Bud now that I know I'd appreciate it more.

There are plenty of scents out there that smell just as good as their niche counterpoints that can be had for much less than designer stuff at MSRP. Perhaps something like Al Haramain's Portfolio Neroli Canvas, which can be had for under $50, yet is often mentioned as a better, longer lasting version of Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino. I wouldn't call any of these "casual" fragrances.

Also adding Mugler Cologne-age appropriate, quite versatile, would consider and recommend wearing this for school/in class at any age and/or for any occasion

Very interesting, I'm in the same quandary myself at the moment, but the boy is 16. A kind member recommended Bleu de Chanel to me and I thought it was a wonderful suggestion. I was also recommended Monsieur by Frederic Malle, which seems as if it could be a marvelous choice, but that requires a more investigation before I can be sure it's appropriate.

Does your nephew go to a private school where the kids are dropped off by the parents security team in an armored Maybach S600 toting LV backpacks or are the kids still in their camo because they were hunting from a tree stand before first period?
