I recently watched a two-part documentary about the house of Dior and its transition to a new director of couture, whose name I have already forgotten... Maria Something Italian.

Arnault appeared in it a few times, always appearing to descend into the working throngs from some celestial height, always with a very chilly hauteur, and was spoken about in hushed tones. The one or two times he spoke on camera he seemed positively constipated, uncomfortable and not the least bit happy.

This is the feeling I picked up from the article -- he is obsessed by time as though there wasn't enough of it ---- a very driven person but cold and detached and a bit paranoid.
