I like this one very much, including a slight "orange baby aspirin" edge I'm getting right now from the combination of lavender and one of the pines, I think. I can actually see this one working in all weathers, despite the name.

Winter fragrance notes: Blue spruce, Pine, Black cardamom, French lavender.

Cacharel Anaïs Anaïs for me today - vintage, not the current harsh chemical soup. I first wore this in the early 1980s when I enjoyed it for a delicate, feminine floral bouquet. Today, all these many years later, I am getting a dark, dry undertone that lends a sly, subtle carnality to the innocent florals. It now strikes me as an almost perfect unisex scent.

PerfumedLady - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I am going to wear Galop d'Hermes in your honor since you and I got to smell it together at the Hermes boutique in Chicago. Was so great to meet you there (and your husband) and share that special day with you and the gang. ((bear hugs))

tdem1961 - I wear Anais Anais all the time. I love it. And I generally don't like lily notes, but there's something about that one that wears perfectly on me.

I am back from my NYC trip - back to warm Miami (it was FREEZING in NYC!). I took the day off and I don't go back to work til tomorrow. Although there is a work event that I will attend this evening, at a very swanky restaurant in the Design District (not far from where I live) since my company is hosting a nationwide 'Retreat' in Miami this week. It should be nice and fancy but relaxing and a nice end to my little vacation. I had a blast in NYC (I got to bed late *every* night lol) and I came back with a bottle of Oud by Brooklyn Perfume Co and samples of the new Squid by Zoologist which I'll wear soon. I was bummed that I didn't get to visit the new Scent Bar (too much other stuff planned) but Twisted Lily, in Brooklyn, where I was staying did we just fine. When I was leaving they were starting a private party and the owners of ELDO were there. I smiled and nodded to them on my way out, 2 French guys immaculately dressed, very personable. So that was my NYC 'celebrity sighting' of the trip
