That, is one, I can actually pronounce very well.

I'll go with something French, probably. I have a tough time with this language.

I love it for the name alone, even though (especially because) I have no idea how to pronounce it.

I struggle with French pronunciation so from my collection it would have to be either l’Instant de Guerlain pour Homme Eau Extreme or Songe d’un Bois d’Ete, but I won’t be wearing either of those mid summer.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.

Ooooh, I can actually pronounce that!
It means "Riga's secret" (or it might mean Rigan girl's secret, I'm not entirely sure), and is pronounced with stress on first syllable on each word, kind of similarly to REED-zin-near-tzes NO-sleh-pooms (no is with the long "o", like in "North" or "more", and pooms is with the short u, like in "look", and I don't think you have ē/ė - the long e sound in English, imagine it similar to -ait in cafe au lait in French)
and the brand Dzintars means Amber and is pronounced Tzin-turs, also with stress on the first syllable - just try to pronounce it with a Dz instead of Tz (tz is softer, dz is harder), and R should also be clearly pronounced everywhere, like in Spanish or Russian.
...I'm afraid I made it look more difficult than it is
(I'm sorry, actual Latvian speakers, if I messed it up a bit - I don't actually speak Latvian, and it's very hard to think of English words or sounds that sound similarly)

Yes! I love this fragrance and was planning to wear it as well! Mind if we are twins?

    Woah!

For me, if I had it, it would be a Spanish fragrance with a rolling r. I cannot, and will never be able to, pronounce that type of r without intense speech therapy. The R as in the "Ruffles have Ridges" commercials. '

Nishane could have made my pronunciation life miserable, being based in Turkey, but their fragrances are fairly pronounceable.

I'll probably go with something Italian. My French pronunciation is okay, but Italian........

I think Unum is quite an underrated house - I only came across them last year, but have been wowed by everything I've tried (Lavs, Io Non Ho Mani Che Mi Accarezzino Il Volto & Rosa Nigra). I'd have a bottle already if they came in smaller than 100ml sizes, so I've just been relying on samples for now.

    Nope, Dragon's Kiss.

l'm taking the opportunity to do some sampling today, so l'm sitting this one out, but Encens Flamboyant would probably be the trickiest one l own.

I'm going with one I know I don't pronounce properly, because it's Korean.

Zara Seoul 532-8 Sinsa Dong Gangnam-gu

    1085083749_w640_h640_zara_seoul_test_100ml_1-3656a9451f506324a415387394723506-640-0.jpg

It's in an interesting series of Zara fragrances based on addressed locations.

The name looks easy, but only Koreans say it right! French looks way different than it sounds, but English speakers can pick up good pronunciation in a reasonable time. Asian languages are just rough to make sound right.

The fragrance is a mildly disturbing generic blue aquatic citrus. I am both fascinated and bothered by it.

In synch as promised with Io Non Ho Mani Che Mi Accarezzino Il Volto - which I can barely type let along pronounce! I've been quite struck today by how it seems to be a hybrid between Hyde and L'Air du Desert Morocain. Loving the ephemereal quality of this.

I’ll synch with Cellier’s Balenciaga’s La Fuite des Heures (1948)/Fleeting Moment. I also seem to channel Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau when I try to say that.

Being of Italian extraction, I find LAVS’ Io Non Ho Mani Che Mi Accarezzino Il Volto easy to pronounce, but it sounds so much like a whine, and given their association with the celibate Catholic clergy, somewhat cringe-y too. Can’t go there.
