Good morning all !. cazaubon, I made a point of sampling the Bogue stuff just recently (including Douleur). It was an interesting experience but I don't think any of them will be coming near my skin ever again

I wasn't that impressed with my sample of Evening Edged in Gold that
arrived yesterday. It wasn't how I remembered it at all. I wore it last night but
could hardly smell it on me.

I am wearing Ambre et Vanille today, which I can smell quite strongly.

Thumbs up Re: SOTD: Sunday, 17th November, 2019

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

No frag yet. But being on the couch, entwined with the dog and with DH out deer hunting, I finally have time ro read recent sotd threads. I've been MIA as my brain was eaten alive by email overhaul--converting every single addy and password initiated over the past 25 years into new ones going forward. All accounts for shopping, banking, retirement, insurance, medical, software, and social contact got updated and then charted for family to make sense of. I may just fall into a tv-watching coma now.

Jon, you are a brave man. :-)

I’m sampling again today, but it should be far less traumatic as they are all 4160 Tuesdays samples, which tend toward pretty rather than edgy.

Holy crap. My brain just amplified that nightmare scenario: imagine if you'd been asleep when he did that.

The truly reasonable approach. My new guy wasn't really my own idea. He was a tiny refugee that showed up begging on my back porch a couple months ago, barely 8 weeks old. Couldn't turn him away, and my oldest cat had just died, so it seemed like kismet.

Cook.bot, bless you for taking pity on your refugee.

Quarry, that sounds like a wonderful but awfully laborious job! I have put it on my to-do list.

I am wearing Ambre Precieux this morning, notable for two reasons: I don't like amber as a main note, and I don't like lavender at all. Ambre Precieux is the exception.

It's COLD today here (well...for me, not for most of you) and I am wearing a sweet/heavy/spicy oud that just begs to be worn in cool weather (I own so many of these types of fragrances):
