Default Trip to Sephora and wow, Armani Code has some good ones

Still on the hunt for a spicy fallish scent, not really potpourri, I stopped yet again into Sephora.

D & G The One, purplish color, right? It was pleasant but it did not seem like it would project
Versace Eros, it was better, and Eros Flame was forgettable.
The Invictus Line and the Montblanc line, I don't know, I just did not seem to go there
Gucci Guilty Absolute Black, I spritzed, and did not like it as much as the Eros

So what I went in to sample was Spicebomb Extreme. I never really got the original Spicebomb. But this one has some sort of spice that is over a base of something that reminds me of lavendar. It makes it interesting

So, I smelled some of the Acqua di GIos and then Armani Code. I have smelled it once before, maybe 4 years back, and it was so-so. TOnight, I guess it being 47ish, it was ok. Then I saw the Code Profumo. It smells better on me than the Spicebomb Extreme. And they had it, but not a tester, the Code Absolute, and I wonder how that is.

This has me revisiting thoughts on designers, as I usually only like something a bit less commonplace, Like Channel only has a few Allures and then the Blue at Dillards and Macys and even less at Sephora. And Guerlains are no where to be found

I like the new formulation of Armani Code Profumo a lot.

Code Absolu is sweeter, more "juvenile", a little bit spicey on top and has a strong reminiscence of Parfums de Marly Layton - to me it's Armani's take on Layton. Projection and longevity is not as good as with Code Profumo.
It's a nice scent but I like Code Profumo better, it feels better blended and is less cloying.

I think I find spice bomb extreme to be more like Tom Ford Noir extreme. The Armani code Profumo does not project as much but has a certain creamy sweetness to it

On my skin, Code Profumo has much better projection and longevity than Noir Extreme.

I don't care for Spicebomb Extreme or the regular Spicebomb as I prefer Bvlgari Man in Black (especially the All Blacks limited edition, which I even like more than Initio Rehab).

I also very much like the Armani Code Profumo

I keep trying Armani Code Profumo but all I get is Dr. Pepper/Coca Cola/ Root Beer. It doesn’t smell bad at all and I actually enjoy it but that’s what I get! Not sure if FB worthy due to it.

Tried Acqua di Gio Absolu Instinct in Sephora a few weeks ago. I actually liked it. Seemed more mature than the other flankers in the line.

I like this one too. Definitely more than the regular Absolu

I love ADG Absolu Instinct - it was love at first sniff, but it grew on me even more!
    It's so damn good!

The citrus in the opening is one of the best I've experienced in a long time with designer fragrances and I like this woody ambergris base with a little bit seaweed so much.
To me this scent is also much better than Aventus. But that's of course my personal taste.

I've already bought some backup bottles of it because I don't trust L'Oreal - they will mess it up at one point like they did with La Nuit de L'Homme and other popular fragrances.
I would do that with ADG Profumo, too, if you enjoy it. Time will come when it's going to be watered down.

I got the same, I really enjoyed it, but could not see myself wearing it. I did get a full bottle of Armani code absolu. Initially I really liked it, but I go back and forth. It can get cloying if more then 2 sprays and near nose. I think the beginning almost smells like pancakes, the drydown is where it shines, and has excellent longevity, will last all day and night. I am still torn if I will keep my full bottle. I think it is really great for winter and colder evenings.

Man, I have tried really hard to like the Code scents, but I've never kept a single one. Just not my bag. My wife likes them, though. The powdery stuff appeals to her.

I have too and really used to love Armani stuff....Mania, Emporio He, etc, AdG, AdG Profumo....but the Code line never has clicked. As I said above, the Code Profumo is not a hate but the Cola smell stays with me and wouldn't wear. They do seem to be more powdery.
