Default Indulge me again, a vote for my next scent

I have smelled all of these but one, and that is the Montale. I have Coromandel and Antaeus
Need projection, longevity, and a great smell

I will say that the Armani, fruity at first but gets lighter on me. The Tom Ford projects well. The Chanel, well, Wife says it is different. Jaipur I liked years ago. The Montale I have not smelled

Montale Honey Aoud would be my pick although I like all the others except the TF.

Chanel Egoiste by far. I recommend only buying a vintage formulation bottle from the 1990s.

Egoiste Cologne Concentree is worth trying too.

Yeah, um, I don't think that some of these can even stand next to Egoiste.

Egoiste any time. Although I understand the Jaipur idea and appreciate it as a creation, I never really liked how it smells on me.

I am wearing the Tom Ford this morning. However I sprayed the Tom Ford on the back of one wrist and on the other the Egoiste. The Tom Ford is smelling like chocolate Play dough but not in a bad way. The Chanel is indistinguishable and almost smells a little bit rancid. My wife said she got the last bit of the big bottle into the tester win the sales associate handed it to her so I don’t know if that has something to do with it now. Based upon my wearings yesterday and today I would rank the spice bomb and the Armanni up at the top. I have not smelled the Montale and it is been years since I wore the Boucheron but as I recall I liked it back in the day

I had to pick one, so I chose TF Noir Extreme but Egoiste, for me, is right there along with it.

I think they're all good ( though I did vote Egoiste ) apart from Spicebomb, though maybe Armani Code Profumo is a bit of an artistic cop out

Well, wearing the Tom Ford for about 2 hours now. The Egoiste is smelling better. I am going to get a new sample of this to make sure my one sample was not off. My wife really likes how it is different, so it may smell better to others than it does to me.

Dont know what to make of the honey oud. I have heard it is that sharp medicinal oud, and as much as I might want some honey, that oud note is offputting to my wife

I can pick up Noir Extreme for like $47 shipped for the 1.7 ounce, and Spicebomb Extreme for like $55 shipped for the 1.7 ounce. I could add to the Spicebomb the Edp of Jaipur in a 3.4 ounce size for like $25.

I think I like Spicebomb Extreme over the Code Profumo.

And I will throw this out there --- 18.21 Sweet Tobacco as a blind buy. I think the longevity and the projection are there as far as what I want. Honey, sweetness and tobacco, and I did like the Back to Black a bit. If not too sweet, maybe?

So my rough thoughts are that it is between Spicebomb Extreme, Tom Ford Noir Extreme, and Honey Aoud and if the new sample of Egoiste is good, then I will get that separately, And feel free to comment on the Jaipur, is it powdery? barbershoppy?

So, the Egoiste stands alone. If the new sample rocks, I will get that separately

So now, I think it is between

    Spicebomb Extreme
    Tom Ford Noir Extreme
Montale Honey Aoud - never smelled it
    1821 Sweet Tobacco
Boucheron Jaipur edp - read that the edp is creamier, the edt is more citrus

Voted for Jaipur EDP, but it was a close call between Egosite and TF Extreme, two other choices likely to share the absolute first place in a ranking of cold weather favorites

Here's my top 3 from best to least best:
    Egoiste
    Spicebomb Extreme
    Noir Extreme

Weird, I'm wearing Fougere Nobile and while reading your thread, I'm starting to get some Egoiste from it (about 4 hours in). lol
Noir Extreme does't last that long, so that's something to consider as well.

Egoiste seems to be the runaway
It is somehow morphing on me. Maybe my nose needed to calibrate while to others, like my wife, it was good

I think I like Spicebomb Extreme over Noir Extreme. I am thinking I would love the honey in Honey Aoud but not the oud base.

Egoiste would be like $95 for 3.4 ounces from Chanel

I could get Spicebomb and Jaipur edpt or even Spicebomb and 18.21 almost as cheap together as the Egoiste

Does adding 18.21 change anyone's vote. If not, then I will test the new sample of Egoiste. If it is not that, then probably SPicebomb Extremen

Thanks all for expressing opinions. I am going to give Egoiste another shot when I get another sample Someone offered to send me one. Now, assuming it is a better sample than the one I got, is there a particular vintage I should get?

If not the Egoiste, then I am thinking that the votes here sway to the Tom Ford, and I think I can get that and the Jaipur for about the same price for two 1.7 ounces as I could one current bottle of the Egoiste. I have read that on Jaipur, EdT is a bit more citrus and projects a bit better, not that the EdP is a slouch, but the EdP is more creamy.

Edit: I went online and got a bottle, tester, or Jaipur, the EdT. $18.88 shipped, for 3.4 ounces. I think the EdP would be better lived, and might be creamier, but I wanted some spice and the EdT from what I read is spicier and projects more, and well, as I recall, Jaipur lasted a lot anyway.

After about 5 hours the wrists smell almost identical, with the Tom Ford being a bit more interesting than Spicebomb Extreme..

I have a new sample of Egoiste on the way. If it smells alright, I will get a bottle. If not, it is between Tom Ford Noir Extreme and a blind buy of 18.21 Sweet Tobacco
