Default Help me find a Wedding Scent out of these....

My sisters wedding is coming up this Saturday and I would like to know what my fellow Basenoters would wear out of the below collection. These are my top office scents and all of them have a special place in my collection.

The weather will be cloudy and in the 60s. The Wedding will take place in the evening and will be both, inside and outside. Ill be in a navy suit with a fresh shave and haircut.

Ill update and let yall know what I wore and what the results are!

I would go with Platinum Egoiste!

However, has your sister ever mentioned that she likes something you have worn around her? If so, I would go with that one. The olfactory sense is sense that triggers memories best. If you wear something you know she likes already, whenever you wear it around her again she will be reminded of her wedding. Just a thought!

She has complimented me when I wore Bleu De Chanel EDP. That’s a very good idea!

I wasn't going to choose BDC, but since your sis likes it, go with that one!

This is my choice, as well. MI if the weather was nicer or it was a daytime wedding.

Funny you say MI, because that was my SOTD, and I got a compliment from a person at the store!

MI is one I often use in the warmer months. It's a wonderful fragrance!

I'd go with Royal Oud. You really can't go wrong with it and its unobtrusive enough so as not to overshine anybody else (bride's) fragrance.

Great lineup, would choose and recommend-almost irrespective if being among closest relatives participating or simply any guest invited- ether one of the more classic Creeds or the most classic Chanels, which pretty much narrows down the selection to Aventus, GIT, MI or to Antaeus, Egosite, Egoist Platinum, both fragrance groups and categories enjoying (from a personal viewpoint alone) the just perfect balance between timelessness and trendiness, between formality and casual style, between good performance and lightness/freshness to make any personal and more public, any more official, formal as well as more familiar event/occasion unforgettably, memorably stylish

Very well put! And I agree, I will wear a Classic Chanel for the rehearsal the night before, and bust out a Creed for the actual wedding. Or the other way around. Thanks for your input!

    Hmm,

For a wedding in that temperature......Bleu de Chanel or Chanel Allure would both be really nice, yet stay somewhat reserved.

If you're going to have a scent stand out, which probably isn't your goal, but if you did want to be smelled, then Royal Oud can get the job done at being noticed, yet not annoying very many, if any people. Caveat - It also depends on how old you are and how masculine your persona is. Wear Royal Oud if you're very masculine for your age or 34+. Green Irish Tweed if you're really young or baby-faced (because it comes off as extremely upscale and can fit a youthful person who is at a more traditional event).

I don't recommend Aventus due to the loud, potentially irritating smokey birch note thing. Antaeus might be too animalic and if over-applied 'might' not be appreciated by everyone. I'm on the fence about Egoiste unless it's on someone older (40+). I am 46 years old with facial hair, so I could pull off Egoiste. I'm not thinking someone in their 20's is going to be sporting Egoiste and it making much sense (unless you have a full beard and extremely tapered, chiseled hair/beard styling).
