Default Last poll, down to three

I’ve made a decision. I have a new sample of Egoiste coming. If I like it that’s the one I’m buying. But if not I am down to three scents. I smelled Spicebomb head to head with Noir Extreme and prefer the Noir Estreme. It doesn’t project as much is the Spicebomb does but the overall smell is better. Years ago I wore Boucheron and Jaipur and I’ve never smelled the 1821 sweet tobacco.

If you pick the Jaipur, please post and tell me whether you prefer the EDT or the EDP

I realize that Jaipur and the Tom Ford have vanilla. I have Coromandel and Antaeus

The 18,21 would be a blind buy and I do think I might like honey and tobacco, and if it were not for the price, might have gotten say Back To Black or Straight to Heaven. I did like Caravelle Epicee but it was short lived. Wine instead of booze in 18.21?

Another vote for Jaipur Homme, especially as EDP and its good value for money, considering both the scent and performance available at this price

it was okay for me, Jaipur has lost its liquorish vibe otherwise I'd have chosen it!

Jaïpur EDP for overall quality and value. It really is a masterpiece of a composition, IMO, and at such a good price.
However, I also own and really enjoy TFNE but I think it’s a tad bit overpriced.

I voted 18.21 as it's my wife's favorite of the three and I own them all.

Noir Extreme would be a close second. Jaipur is nice but I feel is better suited as a formal wear fragrance.

If you want to get an idea of what 18.21 smells like I suggest buying a bottle of the Body wash/Shampoo from one of the discounters. Fragrancenet has it for under $20. It's a great shampoo and it smells very close to the fragrance itself.

I would have thought that the "buzz" about the 18.21 would have won the day. It and the NE are higher rated (4.35 or more vs. 4.20 or so for Jaipur) on Fragrantica.

I know my wife likes the NE. Kinda faint towards the 7 hour mark. On me, the vanilla smells like cacao, not chocolate per se, but the powdery stuff, but in a good way. I ordered Boucheron pour Homme by mistake and well, read up on it but I believe it will be more powdery than Jaipur. I think I will run to Macy's today and Dillards to see if they still carry Jaipur and if so, will sniff it. If I like it, I will order a bottle from one of the online discounters. If not, then try to find NE online cheaper than Sephora.

I wanted to like Egoiste but on me, at first it is a jumbled mess and by the time it dries down on me, 4 or 5 hours in, it is a skin scent, When compared to Antaeus and how it works on me, it leaves me disappointed

Luckily my Dillard’s has Jaipur. I tested a strip of it and the Tom Ford Noir Extrême. Wow. Totally different. Beside each other the TF smells like Cocoa. The Jaipur has a brightness. Three hours on the paper strip the Jaipur is not as strident not as strong. The TF kept going. Tough choice. They did not tell me if at Dillard’s the Jaipur was EDT or EdP
