    Lightbulb Sauvage EDT vs EDP

    Hi everyone!

I'm considering purchasing Sauvage. I feel like I prefer the smell of the EDP, but I've heard mixed things about the performance. Does it project and last as long as the ETD?

    Thank you!

    Joke answer:
One is generated from nuclear waste, the other one from reconstituted radioactive fish parts.

    Serious answer:
Welcome to the group! Sauvage generally gets a lot of hate here but some people do like it.
You will get more projection from an EdT but EdPs generally last longer.

They're probably both the same. It's all marketing.

In my experience with both, yes.

I got both from Macys, and I've worn both quite a bit. I can tell a difference, but I'd wager the average person cannot. In fact, if not doing a side by side I wouldn't be able to tell you which I was wearing. They also perform nearly identically. If you prefer the smell of the EDP then get that. They both last all day, both project. When I go to grab one, they have nearly identical profiles, feel the same, wear the same, and it usually just comes down to which one I've worn last I will wear the other one. Id get whatever one was cheaper. Its a great fragrance, nice bottle. Sharp, clean, pleasing. It is not really meant for the aficionado, they have the privee line for that. Utilitarian fragrance. In my mind, the EDT is a smash there. But everyone knows I'm a champion.

The Parfum should be included in this. That's the best of the bunch, IMO.

If you prefer the EdP then go with that one.

However, have you considered Fahrenheit or Antaeus?

Very true. IMHO. The only one I went on to purchase a full bottle.
Perhaps the poster already tried the parfum?

If I was the one making the decision I would opt for the original EDT release.

Fahrenheit and Antaeus are very good choices. I would suggest looking at Egoiste, Pour Monsieur, and Eau Sauvage from the Chanel and Dior houses.

EDT all the way. I want to like the EDP, but it does not last over a few hours for me. The EDT last 12 hours plus. The parfum smells like superglue on my skin.

I'm going to have to sample the parfum again this week. I've tried the EDP and it's too weak. EDT is too strong, but the Parfum is a great balance, if memory serves.
