Default 5 fragrance recommendations for someone who likes Zino Davidoff

Is it possible to choose any based on a strong liking for this scent? It seems I am a fan of dark, brooding, sultry, slightly satanic Rose Patch scents...

    Thank you.

    Just by Franck Boclet perhaps.

    +1.

    Also:

    Tom Ford Noir de Noir
    Mancera the Aoud
    Montale Black Aoud
    Kilian Incense Oud
    Fort & Manle Harem Rose.

Some people will suggest Portrait of a Lady but personally I think this one in its current formulation is a portrait of an elegant grandmother.

I don't know this one, but I think this is a perfect case for Pacoma Gatsby.

    Also, Versace L'Homme.

Van Cleef & Arpels Pour Homme, perhaps?

I think Antaeus is right up your alley.

Just so you don't wind up wasting your money when you read about Black Aoud; it is not what it seems. It's just all rose the sort of rose you find in any women's rose perfume. There is nothing dark, black, or edgy about it.

You're talking about Dali Pour Homme? To me it has a similar structure to Zino. I've owned vintage Zino up until a month ago and own vintage Dali and I'd say the Dali smells "darker" in a way. It's hard to speak about fragrances being dark just because I think of of a value scale when determining that, and I've never smelled anything to me that smells white or black. I'm smelling it more for the first time in months, and while it doesn't smell *like* Zino you can certainly see how they're related. There is a lot of oakmoss in the vintage, kinda like Ho Hang Club which I also have, which I think contributes to smelling "dark". Not that big a fan. Speaking of which you should give Ho Hang Club a try as well you'd probably like it. Do you have anyone in the States who can get you a package? I see that I can't ship perfumes to Nicaragua, but you can have this old stuff and I won't charge you eBay prices if you have a way to get it to you. You'd appreciate it more anyways.

Apart from so many great options already mentioned, also adding in no particular order especially:

    Santos de Cartier
    Mystique Homme by Al Haramain
    Jaipur Homme EDP
    Lalique Homme EDP
YSL M7 (no or little point chasing down the vintage of this one, especially if the current one still performs well)
Aramis Devin and/or Havana Reserva (same principle and goal a with M7, better prices ahead if not necessarily for
the vintages alone, getting far more whatever is currently on the market and still performs finely or even better)
    Sienna by Crabtree & Evelyn
    Acteur by Azzaro
most if not all of the male Marbert fragrances, including especially Homme (irrespective if vintage or not)
Guerlain Homme Intense and Songe d'un Bois d'Ete by the same house
    Lapidus pour Homme
    No. 89 by Floris
    Creed BDP
    Furyo by Bogart
various other Bogart scents that can be still obtained more inexpensively than Furyo
including but not limited to Bogart pour Homme and/or One Man Show Ruby as well as Oud Edition
Ungaro II, III and/or most of the flankers of the latter one (particularly the Oud and the Parfum Aromatique ones)
    Esencia Loewe
    Halston Z-14
    Tasmeem Man by Rasasi
Siwa and/or Kedu Sesame by Memo Paris
both current and/or vintage Xeryus by Givenchy
further Serge Lutens fragrances including but not limited to Chypre Rouge and/or Ambre Sultan
    Chanel pour Monsieur Concentree

not all of these are strictly darkly satanic patchouli male/unisex scents alone, however most of not all these mentioned take a certain dark floral to new extents, while also focusing on leathery, chypre, spicy powerhouse and/or boozy notes.

While these ones may or at least do their best in terms of completing one if not most or even all of your fragrance themes and notes with a certain wildness, but also extravagance of the luxurious, fascinatingly creative, often if not mostly non-generic type.

Can't say I've come across anything I would class as 'satanic' but going purely on what may appear similar to Zino itself, here are my thoughts:

    Givenchy Gentleman
    Patchouli 1942
    Malle's Monsieur
Montale Patchouli Leaves - although this comes off as much sweeter

Slap a Venom or Slayer sticker onto a bottle and you've got it covered!

    My top 5 would be

    Joint by Roccobarocco
    Lord Molyneux
    Tom Ford Beau de Jour
    Salvador Dali Pour Homme
1881 Pour Homme by Nino Cerruti
