It has a similar vibe for a fraction of the price.

I don't think they're anything alike, personally. The Lush scent is significantly better in terms of quality and materials, but it's a very different scent (it's quite indolic / animalic and floral). Fathom V, to my nose, is predominantly comprised of what's known as "leaf alcohol" and is much closer to something like "Grass" by Gap.

I haven't tried the beaufort. Death and decay to my nose is predominantly a floral that soon moves into a quiet tonka-heliotropin drydown, and that suggests neither death nor decay (although some people do perceive it as heavily indolic). this doesn't sound like the notes of the beaufort.

Death & Decay was recommended to me when I was hunting for a realistic white lily soliflore. I think I was only able to test it in oil or solid form, but it was very much a floral with not much greenery. There was a lily vibe there, but other floral and non-floral things going on as well.

I haven't smelled that particular Beaufort, but if it is dosed with a lot of leaf alcohol (which I think is similar to or the same as cis-3-hexenol?) then it probably isn't going to smell like how I remember the Lush smelling.
