    Chanel, Antaeus

Finally, after ruminating for years over the valid reasons why I cannot/shouldn’t delve into powerhouse fragrances I grabbed a sample with the intention of having a personal ceremony back at my wigwam (sorry for the crass cultural appropriation).

But 3 sprays (!!!) later in the safety of my smokehouse and surely one might comprehend why I feel like culturally appropriating terms, identities, and pretty much whatever the $&@ I want. After all, my wiring has been reset to some scrumptious toxic masculinity . . . and I’m loving it!

Why have a waited so long? I tried this as a teenager but it was too mature for me, and I was already playing nice with the spicier Drakkar Noir and getting more romantic attention if I wore Red for Men. While some may snicker, that was as loud as I would attempt in fragrance as the 2000s saw me turn a different corner. Then I tried it again 10 years ago, 5 years ago, and I guess I just wasn’t ready.

Now it’s different. Mind you, I’m in the safety of my home following my (intended) overspray manoeuvring. No regrets on the bold application, though, for I am truly engulfed in a state of bliss. I’ve been wearing it for a few hours so I’m going to venture out for my Saturday errands. The public be damned - either show your respect or make way for the king.

    This is good.

It's a wonderful scent. I'm glad you were able to get yourself to wear it. I recommend sampling the vintage formulation as well, imo it's even better.

If this can get even better I could see myself chasing vintage.

It would helpful to get a sample/small decant of the vintage and then do a side to side comparison. You'll learn a lot by do that. Hopefully you'll try Egoiste and Pour Monsieur as they are also good.
