Default My dirt cheap favorite tobacco scents

The list is short, but I'm hoping you'll help me add to it.

Samba Skin is a nice cherry tobacco, though synthetic and it's gone in three hours. Can be had for $10-12.

Insurrection II Wild. This is VERY surprising! Strong similarities to Mugler Pure Havane, but somewhat less of a dry spell. A tiny bit more syrupy: a little more cherry in the mix. Lasts five or six hours with moderate projection. $25 is the average price I've seen.

Lomani Body and Soul. This is very similar to spicebomb, but without the grapefruit or whatever that is in the opening. A slightly more polite version that doesn't overpower, body and soul brings forward a nice pipe tobacco vibe that isn't muddled with the almost fermented vegetation in the opening of spicebomb. Typically $18-20.

    Please add to the list.

I understand there is an aramis fragrance that is at a good price point and has a great, authentic tobacco scents.

I'm a fan of pure Havane, 18.21, and tobacco vanille... Just not a fan of the prices. I'd love to hear of as many tobacco frags as possible at a lower price point.

This is the season for them, after all.

    Thank you, my friends.

I see Michael Kors for men but also add in Michael for Men. The tobacco is a bit more prominent.

Jaguar for Men (Green). Current version can be found for around 10 Euro however I've not smelt it, but from all accounts its not that far from vintage. Vintage is still quite easy to pick up on eBay - I've scored a couple of bottles now, one slightly used for 10 Euro without the cap and one for 20 Euro brand new. Vintage has the wooden cap and box with red line:

    s-l500.jpg

Current has a silver cap and plain green box.

Very, very heavy on the tobacco. Leather, orange and green notes are also combined. This to me is the very definition of a masculine scent. I love the classics and never feel "old man" about wearing any of them, but this one really does push even my limits. I still wear it and love it, though.

Gotta be one for you to try.

I've got a vintage splash of that on the way. Looking forward to giving it a shot, though I expect that, like vintage Polo, it might be a bit "dirty" for me.

Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio Tabacco is Amazing (cheap). Today I'm wearing an excellent John Varvados Vintage (€.40 for a 75 ml bottle). Don't forget Gianfranco Ferrè for Man and Chanel Egoiste (which include hints of tobacco).

It's posts like this from Darvant that I fear the most...! Now I'm tempted for JV Vintage (which I owned since it came out) and Egoiste which I've had on/off since I joined the site.

I recently sampled "Unexpected Fresh Spicy" from Zara's Tobacco Collection, which I think is a newer addition to their other two scents in the collection. A nice option as well.

I never noticed reformulated Jaguar for Men was a tobacco scent. I used to see them all the time in the discounters, and had a bottle before giving it away.

    How is cK one Shock?
I've seen it compared to JV Vintage, which I like. Is it better than Vintage? It's described as having a chocolate note to it, and I'm not a fan of gourmands or chocolate in general. Is it very prominent?
I kinda want to buy this one just to see what all the hype is about, but I don't want to throw even $20 away if I hate it.

Aramis Tobacco Reserve is like Obsession with tobacco to my nose. Nice scent but waaaaay too heavy for my tastes.
JV Vintage is smooth and probably one of my favorites of that genre. Semi-warm, a bit of sweetness to it, and then suede and tobacco.
Quorum is like wet chewing tobacco with some herbal-ness sprinkled in. Sniffing it up close you can get some faint hints of the grapefruit and lemon, but those notes are almost hidden in the dry down. Very challenging but interesting.
