Default Diptyque Eau Duelle edt vs. edp, TF Metallique

So, any opinion on how the two vanilla-based fragrances from Diptyque compare with each other?

Tom Ford Metallique better than the two?
In silence, with body and mind still, a depth of understanding may be achieved that is not available to one who languishes at the mercy of life’s relentless chatter.

I tried both, and ended up going with the EDT because it projected more and was a bit more airy.

I have tried all three, and I would say I prefer Eau Duelle EdT or EdP over Metallic.

Own and like both Diptyques, but prefer the EDP as it performed better on my skin and found it richer and deeper. For me, the TF not better than either of them.

I would prefer either Diptyques over the TF.

Never tried the TF, or even heard of it until now.

I have Eau Duelle EDT, and I don't think I have smelled the EDP, or if I had, I found it too similar to the EDT to even compare and contrast. One thing Diptyque does exceptionally well is they make their EDP's to be very close in smell to their EDT's, with only minor tweaks, usually in the performance department. So really, imo, having either Eau Duelle will do fine, and personally, I get fantastic performance with the EDT, so no need to spend more on the EDP, but I might try it in the future to see if it's any better.

I'll get the easy bit over with first: forget the TF. It's rubbish even as a dressing room/wardrobe accessory. The bottle isn't even made of metal!

As for the Diptyques, both are very respectable scents and popular with ladies. I personally found the EdP too much, although the spicy, incensy-sweetness is wonderful if that's what you like. For a man the EdT is more wearable and down to earth. There is no real difference in notes or balance of notes between the two, but both are quite long lasting and made of top quality ingredients.

Agreed. Metallique is a complete dud in my opinion.

In terms of the Diptyques, I have tried the EdT and remember liking it. I cannot remember trying the EdP.

If you want another option, one to look into might be Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensée for that sort of airy vanilla feel.

    Metallique is dreadfully weak imo

I have only tried the edt of Eau Duelle -- I like it more now than when I first tried it

Haven't sampled Eau Duelle yet. If anyone is interested, I would be willing to swap for a sample.
