This one seems to degrade poorly and examples vary wildly in quality because of it.

Huh! I guess I got lucky buying my partial. Either that, or I have low standards.

The giant dollop of oakmoss in the base is enough for some people to get over the decayed top notes. You might just have a survivor.

Might be so, or it might just be that you don't miss what you've never had. I just know I really liked it when I wore it.

That last part is the biggest cognitive dissonance I find in my own attraction to vintage perfumes in general.

^^^ I had one about 7 years ago, sold it for a few cents profit. Bought 2 in total recently and yes, it's becoming rare as the day goes. I was hoping to buy Brun and Vert from Balafre, but it's mighty difficult to find a decent source (& a decent price)...

I love seeing Arun active! Good vibes.

I can synchronize with Eau de Gucci or Balafre.

Blind buy and haven't had a full wear. Took a dab on my wrist though and it's really good. My bottle is splash and I am not a huge fan of splash which is preventing me from going for a full wear. I normally buy 60/100 ml glass spray bottles and transfer the fragrances before having a full wear.

Fragrance itself based on my tiny dab is one of the best executions of floral civet accords with spice, patchouli, a minor oakmoss vibe and a nice sandalwood all playing Oscar winning support roles.

This is definitely one of the under the radar, sleeper vintages that I've bought in the last 1-3 months of my "splurge".

Not bought, but gifted. Maybe from the 80s or possibly 90s - Cristalle EdP and No. 5 EdT. Cristalle lasts all day and is lovely, but #5 was disappointing in longevity.

I haven't smelled vintage Cristalle but from what I've read, it's really good stuff.

I didn't have high hopes for it, but was surprised at how well-blended and gorgeous it was. I had another spray of the EdP that is more stark in the discrete notes, and I prefer the aged and melded version. Now, on to Coriandre!

Another nice acquisition. What number bottle would this be in your CC collection?

This would be my tenth Crown Perfumery scent. I count Clive Christian separately—I think I've only acquired five of those, not counting samples.
