Congrats to Mrs. S. on her graduation. I also have similar concerns about this hobby, so now I try to patiently wait for the great fragrance and great price combos.

I think Jacomo Eau Cendrée (1974) is another one like Avon Öland (1970) that you should try if you like No. 1

Imagine a smokier darker Etienne with a tiny bit of Öland's orris soap and you're 80% there.

one of my favorites. I consider it quite unisex. It is magnificent in the florals and the animalics. Wow.

So, are you saying this isn't vintage Tabarôme? There's no Millésime indication. I may have purchased it in error, albeit one recoverable in resale if so.

On the bottom of the flacon, I see a Lot Batch Code '38' that corresponds to Tabarome Millesime with '10' corresponding to the year of 2010. Vintage Tabarome was already out of production by that point.

Refer to the nearly 10 year old Creed batch code thread: http://www.basenotes.net/threads/270...numbers-SOLVED!

The only odd thing that stands out is the label which is the same one as Vintage Tabarome. Most flacons for Vintage Tabarome were green. There was a small batch of clear flacons that were released just before VT was discontinued.

You'll need to sample it to confirm. My gut feel is that it's Tabarome Millesime but I would like to be proven wrong.

I saved this image of a Batch Code that corresponded to a confirmed Vintage Tabarome clear flacon. This was the only time that I ever saw a batch code for Vintage Tabarome. It was from the eBay seller Dark Phoenix over in Italy who sells Private Collection Creeds.

Well, when it arrives, I’ll send you a sample and you can tell me what it is. Of course, I’ll figure out for myself if I like it, but if I don’t and it’s Millésime, I’ll resell it as such. I doubt I’ll lose much if anything.
