    Calandre and Rive Gauche (YSL) may be the two you are thinking of. Seems they were created by the same nose (Michel Hy), and I too find them very similar.
    Metal doesn't remind me of either.

    I'm afraid you showed up here too late to save me from my own impatient impulses. A couple of hours ago I ordered vintage bottles of both Calandre and Metal. I'd been curious about them both for a long time anyway.

    I just saw it and it's definitely a beauty. Another one to consider would be the rosebud styled containers, now those date back to the 50's. I've been staring at those on eBay for Mitosuko and Vol de Nuit. One needs to be careful as those bottles need to have the seal intact and without the darkness of the juice, otherwise those bottles I'm sure would be highly rewarding.

    Guerlain's Vetiver Eau de Cologne '60s spray

    Earthy 'n wet vetiver, lovely!

    I might prefer by a slight margin Monsieur Carven Vetiver being a bit more spicy but by far my favourite of all is Germain Monteil Realm, this is the pinnacle, for me atleast...
