Cool Challenge: Your recommended $250 beginner collection

I just watched a YT video based on this idea and I found it really helpful. But I know that BN folks are a wealth of information on fragrances, so thought I'd throw out this fun challenge to see what you guys come up with.

The challenge: A beginner has $250 to spend on fragrances. Assemble a list of 5-10 recommendations that span work, casual, club, hot & cold weather. Prices can be for 50mL bottles, so no need to price out for the big bottles. $250 is approximate so no need to quote prices, just try to fit in that overall budget.

Bonus challenge: Rate your list on a 1-10 scale of overall "manliness" where 1 is unisex and 10 is, say, Aramis. Arbitrary, I know, but very helpful for us beginners!

Its a sticky in the Just Starting page. Buysblind did a terrific write up, others chimed in. Read that one. I saw one of those videos and thought, hey, they kinda copied Buysblinds idea. Id recomend rhis thread for anyone in this position. It will be a much better illuminary than any video you could watch.

Itís tragic to think that heroic manís great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.

    Yes, it's well done.

    I'd suggest these -

Prada Amber pour Homme (casual / cold weather)
Terre d'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche (hot weather)
    Declaration (work)
Bentley for Men Intense (club / cold weather)
    Acqua di Gio Profumo (versatile)
