Default Creed millesime imperial vintage bottle real or fake? No batch number on bottle

Got this bottle from someone I purchase many fragrances from and all have been legit. However I dont know much about this one in particular. I just know the old bottles of millesime imperial say imperial millesime and the bottles were gold. Dont know why there is no batch number. Any information would be very helpful. Thanks again

Edit: added pictures without sprayer but it looks fake to me cause the ring is silver and not clear or white. After reading forums I'm guessing this bottle was made on or before 2009 when they switched to clear bottles. I'm not sure if they made the rings silver back then or not. Really need some help with this.

How does it smell to you?

I haven't received it yet but I'll check it when arrives. I just dont know about the silver ring part, is that a dead giveaway its fake?

It's definitely fake, and a very bad one at that.

The gold Creed MI bottles are very bright, shiny and reflective....not dull, like yours. Here's what the real one looks like....

It's because of the ring? How can you tell

See the eBay picture I posted. Your bottle looks like a piece of iron that was spray painted with dull gold paint. Obviously fake...

Some of the old gold MI bottles from several years ago used to have a flaking off problem. But that's not the problem with yours.

Yeah I see what you mean. When I asked him he said he thinks it's a tester. But even a tester would look like the picture you showed me right?

Correct. Testers often come with no cap and a cheap brown box, or no box at all. Like this....

Thanks for your help, is it possible sometimes that the creed bottles dont have a batch or lot number? I bought an irish tweed that doesn't have a lot number.

I have seen some Creeds without the lot number, but they tend to be older bottles, not newer bottles. What you generally want to see is the same lot number on the bottle and the box it came in (if it came in a box). The numbers should match.

If you have a GIT bottle without a lot number, it doesn't automatically mean something is wrong or that it's fake. However, if you got it from the same person you got the Millesime Imperial from, I would be concerned. It's very unlikely that the person who sold you the MI did not know it was fake.

Where are you buying your Creed bottles and were they significantly cheaper than the same Creeds you saw for sale elsewhere? How do they smell? Have you ever smelled real Creeds before, so you have something to compare?

Be sure and check feedback if you're buying on eBay. You only want to buy from someone with a VERY high feedback score, with hardly any negatives.

To buy discounted Creeds more safely, you might consider buying places like Fragrancenet and FragranceX. Then you can feel secure that your Creed (and any other fragrance) is genuine.

I have real ones to compare to, I just didnt know about the lot number thing. It's a 4 oz of GIT I just bought. I'll have to wait till I get it to confirm authenticity because it didnt have a lot number
